Rusty 19th Century Caucasian sword kindjal restoration

1934 Georgian Russian Caucasian Cossack Short Sword "Kindjal". The whole item including the handle measures up to 25 centimeters long. Length of the blade alone is about 15.5". Blade is signed and dates all the way back to 1934. The lade is double sharp-edged, one fuller runs on each side of it. metal handle, with nicely carved scabbard. The kindjal now fully restored is in a good condition overall and feels quite solid and strong when you hold it.

This is Caucasian Khanjar (ხანჯალი), in Georgia we call it Satevari (სატევარი) (khanjal is shorter - about 45 sm, satevari about 60 sm). In my opinion it's very bad restoration, because the value of old blade was lost. It was restored to modern fashion.

По клинку замечаний нет. По рукояти -- следы рисунка рога остались. Но это ничего -- на неё надо положить серебряную накладку с орнаментом, а центральную заклёпку сделать в виде "пахлава"!) Ювелирные работы должны быть достойны возраста кинжала и клейма Мастера! Кинжал такого типа называется КАМА ( или Г А М А) Это Черкесский (Адыгский) фасон и дизайн! А Сатевари -- я думал Вино!!!😁✋️💂♀️
Если откровенно, работы много, но всё не в толк. Это не реставрация ,а просто самодел. Вы хоть посмотрели устройство кинжалов, их разновидности и пр.

This is a Qadare not a Khanjar. Khanjar is dagger and used as combat knife along with sword and shield etc, while Qadare was weapon of law enforcement agents in settlements. Both words are from Persia (Iran) and used frequently from todays Iran and all countries which were a part of Persian empire most of those countries name ending with "stan" (which means land) thorough the history untill less than 200 years ago, Armenian(Armani stan) Georgia (Gorje stan) Dagestan (Daghe stan) in Caucasian and other in central Asia. It is absolutely not Ottoman.

Actualy this is kindjal or kama, a dagger, qadare or gaddare is a sword that has a diferently shaped point and it is longer. Qadare point is cut at 45* angle like modern american tanto, kundjal dagers are drom 35-65 cm long. Qadare around 70-95 cm long. Kindjals vere ottoman, caucasian, persian, qadare is persian, and ottoman.
Не хочу тебя расстраивать, но слово "caucasian" означает не то, что ты хотел донести в названии ролика. Caucasian - это белая, европиоидная расса.
