Ruston Kelly - studio session at The Current (music + interview)

Ruston Kelly’s third full-length album, "The Weakness," released April 7, 2023. Now touring in support of the album, Kelly is savoring the time, to say the least. “The relief of being back onstage doing what I love to do the most is, it's kind of wordless to be able to express how happy it makes me,” he says.
Kelly’s tour included a stop at First Avenue in Minneapolis, and the morning before the show, Kelly visited The Current studio to perform solo acoustic versions of songs from "The Weakness," and to chat with host Bill DeVille.

Two days ago I had no idea who Ruston Kelly was...until he opened for Noah Kahan at SPAC. I am OBSESSED with his voice and hope to see him again!!!!

Dude opened for Brian Fallon at the crescent ballroom in Phoenix like, 7 years ago. Amazing songwriter, this guy.
This is great. Beautiful songs - Thanks once again to The Current for introducing me to good music.
I love this acoustic style of performing. A 😍 🤩song and a wonderful backdrop setting. I give into this song and picture myself falling fromt he sky and seeing all the people in my life passing me by. The movement gets faster and faster, and i can't stop. On to the next song and for me, and it's been non-stop and not a long year. 2 more weeks and another school year is over. Over 20 years gone now. Music has come and gone in records,cassettes,cds,mp3,mp4,ipods,ipads,and live streams. I've seen and bought them all. Thanks Ruston for making such great music and leaving it here for us fans. Best wishes always, Robert zeligson
