Hey my dude can you make a video where you start a gambling zerg with the goal being to win big and buy like 100,000,000 f1 grenades and scrap them for GP and metal frags and you go from homeless to have a giant metal base and raiding all the big groups on a server thanks. (Feel free to outsource this video idea to other youtubers) have a splendid trap filled day of playing rust.

I love how most of the rust youtubers almost never fail to upload on wipe day. Pretty relaxing while waiting for the storm.

I'm not the best shooter. Especially since console version is trash compared to PC. Trapping highly geared players is awesome tho. Better make sure ur base can handle a few rockets tho. Lol

I love getting raided same day as building a trap base. Just lets you know you succeeded in making them spitting mad

Funniest bit is, they likely didn't even get much out of that raid that wasn't already stuff they lost.

@@theobvu actually alot of times it is about trying to make a profit, just depends on the situation. Sometimes people will raid to get rid of a person or clan, like a neighbor or a clan thats been causing them problems. other times its to gain more loot and hopefully more explosives/sulfur than what was put in to raid the base.

Since your videos I placed few bear traps around my base. What a sweet sound to hear one activate by someone sneaking around your base. I'm solo and I don't appreciate being door camped. This is an amazing solution.

Love a good snap trap field

Oblivion I think you should turn a trap base into a clan trap base. Sounds weird but have a normal trap base that has "weaknesses". So when you agro a clan and they come to wipe you its actually setup for them with walls placed wrong with an auto turret behind for eg. a wood ceiling thats just honeycomb and is full of shotgun traps so when they pop it and peak down they get solidly wrecked. Fake door entrances hiding turrets on each side of the build and maybe the roof that you can trigger open and clean their clocks. Basically your aiming to trigger clans into bringing you booms and raid gear (like you often end up doing anyhow) but being prepared for them.

I like to set bear traps by other peoples bases, usually after they have just upgraded so everyone thinks that it is them. Most of the time I don't even loot the bags and just try to counter the raid.

Hey, I got a nice idea for a trap base of a different kind. You make a normal base, leave lots of doors open, and when some people try to raid you, they have to break 1 door and once inside, all the doors close, and they get killed by electric coils. Make sure to honeycomb every other place so they think of it as an eco-raid. Ps: I don't have rust, so I can't tell if that's possible.

Hmm you could have a softside wall with a deadman's switch in logic- something like a blocker with connected through a sacrificial piece. Not sure the laser would work for a door only people. You could use an autoturret to trigger it reliably i think with its visual detection passthrough, but they are hard to get. You are likely to multitrap if you make them softside also. The issue is you need power, which screams trapbase, so you have to beam it in through an rf transmitter/receiver

Imagine being mad becasue you where too oblivious to avoid a trap base, multiple times.

You should use the bear traps from this and make a trap base with those everywhere.

You might be displaying psychopathic tendencies when you revive people just to one shot them lol
