Rust Electrics 3 - Batt Charging / Loading 2023 with Solar and Wind Turbines

Ойындар

No longer is a blocker needed with infinite power circuit for charging batteries in Rust since a long time now, watch for the the current info on keeping your batteries fed and happy in RUST!

You may not need an or-switch, two branches and a blocker for it to work, but I've tested both methods and a direct circuit is charging the battery at a slower rate (looks like it can be increased by ~40%). So I would only use a direct circuit temporary untill I got hold on these items.

i put up like 3-5 windmills but i usually power 20-30 auto turrets 2-3 sams an elevator some water supply lighting through the base a garage and... basically everything electrical in rust. Electricity is fun. I want them to add a TV so i can watch the rust news in my base at night.

Thank you bro. I am new to using electricity and I've been seeing those blocker branch videos everywhere. Ngl, I am dumb as hell at this stuff. Knowing I can skip the blocker branch shit is game changing. 🙏

Nice video but combining all power sources and battery backups and setting them to switch between live power and backup power in automation is the superior single circuit solution and this requires a blocker and a “or” switch. But this can be complicated so this is a great intro video good stuff man!

One thing I’ve been pondering and have concluded that it’s not possible is if there is a way to control the output into the systems when the batteries initiate. What I’ve realized is there is not. The blocker will stop battery power and continue to allow them to charge but once the blocker opens . Your configuration of battery power is fully released. my best solution to this is to root combine some batteries to increase the total battery output power and in addition to that have some of them daisy chained together to increase the time duration of backup power without increasing the total battery output amount. With this concept the daisy chained batteries can act solely as backup power and allows an exponential amount of backup charging

Yep saves a lot of messing about and now makes more sense than when electric first arrived in Rust. I Saw a lot of old vids still detailing the old method (which I also once used) which still works of course but..., thought I'd better put this out there :)

I only ever use small batteries for a single large planter grow set up. one heater/light/water pump. much like your small set up in the Yurt video. small water catcher on the roof/1 solar panel. perfect for a small comfy cozy base.

hey thank you so much i alvayse wanted to know how to swich from the power from the wind turbines if i have like 3 large batt chargin and the wind turbine is only gving me less power then the batt, mind blowing to put a swich from the power, i like to use a elect branch to blocker to another elect branch to batt and or swich, now my batt are as i can see they are fully charged and i got 300 to give to what ever when ever i want. Thank you that really blew me.

The weakest link in any circuit is your battery. I see people connecting 4 wind turbines to 1 Large battery...and them thinking "I have tons of power". I myself 7k hours have designed perfect circuits...that means zero RW wasted. One large battery can power 9 turrets perfectly if done right. This is max perfect output with no waste. If you reply and want to know the circuit I can explain in full detail without the dribble. It's amazing what can be down with 1 solar panel and a car battery and of course a simple circuit. I like the idea of circuits that are automated..no switch. Night time automated 4 lights. One solar panel facing North connected to electrical branch. Branch out to blocker "left side". Power out to car battery. Battery to blocker "bottom". Blocker "top" output to 4 lights that will be self automated. Perfect for a solo of a start to a bigger base design. Oh here is a tip. Place solar panels on other side of wind turbine and wall..so no shadows cast on solar panels.

Nice comment, thanks! I too see people with 4+ turbines on a roof and think why on earth... (for status mainly). As you say you can power so much with just 1 or 2 turbs and multiple batteries, I often have powered 4+ turrets, lights, doors and heating from 1 large battery and 6 panels. Turbines have the advantage of the power continuing in the night so less chance of draining if stuff always on for sure, especially if your in the centre of a map and sun direction is trickier. A solar for auto lights is always a winner :)

Yep there is that ofc, but I see some bases with 6-10 turrets probably some lights and heating and 8 windmills, I mean... they could develop fusion with that kind of power! :)

If you have enough power coming in to keep you batteries running, of course . I sometimes put mine on peacekeeper so they don't attack people who are not actively being a pain while I'm offline to avoid retaliation! But its always a best guess!

  • @GenXGamesMeister

I would say because your using more electricity than is going in. Remember charging is 80 percent efficient only so 100 in means 80 charge rate, if ur using 100 it will slowly go down unless u have 120 plus coming in. Happy rusting!

I say NOT to use a blocker in this vid, you don't need to anymore for charging. I think you skipped through to where I explained why it was used when electricity was first introduced.
