Russian Orthodox Presanctified Liturgy in Holy Trinity Monastery

Wednesday, April 3, marked the final day of the Northern Lenten Retreat for clergy of the Eastern American Diocese and the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY. The retreat concluded with the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts, led by the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion. The First Hierarch was concelebrated by His Grace, Bishop George, and retreat participants.

Its an actual human language called Syriac an dialect of Aramaic the words that Jesus spoke on earth. I gave the exact translation of what I said. I can also give you the reference for the liturgy book so that you can buy online if you want. It is not "speaking in tongues" or "typing in tongues" just saying a prayer bilingually from an minority of Christians. Read the context: "love to eastern orthodox and the oriental orthodox as well,... (transliteration of aramaic) 'Peace, O Lord, grant Your Holy Church peace and tranquility and her prelates a good and peaceful old age. Amen'" Nothing more than a blessing from the liturgy of Saint Mor bar Salibi. Look for the Syriac Orthodox Holy Qurbono text in english, that is the Divine Liturgy text, by Beth Antioch Press, but I might be wrong with the publisher. but google it.

There are English Churches and also if you did come you could use an English Prayer book. It is in English and one can read the Liturgy . Like Latin churches did many years ago. They just keep it in Russia as the elders yet alive just are not ready to break loose of the heritage of the church. Often English is spoken some. You do get to understand with time.

Не уклони сердце мое в словеса лукавствия, непщевати вины о гресех.) 7:00 They all sing a line from the same Psalm together: "Воздеяние руку моею, жертва вечерняя." Russian being sung sounds so beautiful. However, I have personally witnessed the holiness and power of Latin. And why the devil hates it. They flee!! I also understand why Jesus wanted the mass in Latin was too because Latin can not be misunderstood. It is precise and when stated and expressed its meaning is clear. Secular languages have too many different meanings, slang etc. Words can have a double meaning.

Russian Orthodox Churches worship in the Church-Slavonic language (this is not a secular everyday Russian language). The Church-Slavonic language was created in the IX century: Saints Cyril and Methodius adapted the Holy Scripture for the Slavic peoples and translated it from Greek into the Church-Slavonic language they created. Today it is the official liturgical language of the Russian Orthodox Church. It is very similar to the Russian language, but even more beautiful and poetic.

Let us make sure that we don't forget the following information. The Old and Authentic ROCOR is the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad (ROCA) that was formed in 1920 by bishops who were forced to leave their homeland along with millions of Russian people, all fleeing the horrors of the communist system. The ROCA bishops, clergy, and laity remain loyal to the original mission of an independent ROCA. Despite protests from within the ranks of bishops, clergy, and laypeople, on May 17, 2007, a large part of the ROCA entered into Eucharistic communion with the MP with the signing of the “Act of Canonical Communion” and is now known as the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR - MP). The Moscow Patriarchate (MP) and the current ROCOR-MP do need to repent of the heresies of Ecumenism and Sergianism. The smaller part of ROCA that chose to remain loyal to the historical Russian Orthodox Church and to continue the mission of the ROCA is not in Eucharistic communion with the Moscow Patriarchate (MP), the state-controlled official Russian Church. The Churches of the ROCA remnant are present today in the Diaspora District of ROCA. The list of Parishes is present on the rocana and auroca web sites. The ROCA Churches are located in Australia, New Zealand, St. Petersburg, as well as in the U.S. and Canada. For these who would like to understand more about the history of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad (ROCA) they can read the article "ROCA the Beacon Of Light" by Protopriest Nikita Grigoriev on the rocana web site. Also, we remember that the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad (ROCA) Council of Bishops in August 1983 in the person of its Metropolitan Philaret of New York (1903-1985), noting the extent of the Ecumenist contagion, issued an Anathema to Ecumenism in the straight line of the Holy Fathers, condemning anyone who participated in this heresy. When the Church pronounces anathema on a certain heresy, we must NOT forget that it is for eternity. Anathema to Ecumenism (1983) "To those who attack the Church of Christ by teaching that Christ’s Church is divided into so-called “branches” which differ in doctrine and way of life, or that the Church does not exist visibly, but will be formed in the future when all “branches” or sects or denominations, and even religions will be united into one body; and who do not distinguish the priesthood and mysteries of the Church from those of the heretics, but say that the baptism and eucharist of heretics is effectual for salvation; therefore, to those who knowingly have communion with these aforementioned heretics or who advocate, disseminate, or defend their new heresy of Ecumenism under the pretext of brotherly love or the supposed unification of separated Christians, Anathema! --- Note: The relics of Metropolitan Philaret of New York were found to be completely incorrupt in 1998.

ROCOR’s goal was to be administrately independent from moscow because of its communism and sergianism. But once those were gone it could reestablish normal relations with moscow. Fr Seraphim Rose and Saint John of San franciso confirm this.

The disciples started the Churches. Built them in various places. Andrew started those in Russia. Jesus spoke in parables to t he crowds but talk deeply to the disciples . ( bible) They did the best they could to form the churches built similar to the looks of the Jewish Temple in which Jesus attended. Over the years humanly speaking people all wanted what they wanted. To make a long story short Anglicans broke from Catholic ( Roman) as Henry the 8th wanted to re marry to have a son. Luther broke off as he wrote the 95 thesis and was not happy with flaws. And then on and on from there it splintered and watered down. God loves all churches, and people . But the Eastern Orthodox tries hard to STAY THE EXACT SAME as in beginning of the church . people needed pictures as they did not read etc. They understood it al as the pictures depicted it and when in Russian Orthodox church in Jordanville Monastery/Seminary, you feel Heaven on earth. incense symbolizing prayers going to heaven. Sweet smells to the Lord. They do believe we have an 'earthy church and heavenly church,' and they' work and worship ,right together.' The beeswax candles have symbolic reasons ,and so much more not being able to explain it here one must read about it all. . You see it is not just Scriptural alone ( sola scriptura) it is scriptural, but traditional too, and VERY scriptural as much is read and sang during who service. You stand during most of the two hours and half. That is what the church did in the beginning of time, . A meaning they have like many families brought down with them their traditions from their own countries, the symbolism of the family and faith of the family ,over the years. Hope this helps some to understand better what it is about? Yes it was the first church, but let us know the bible was not written for over 300 yrs after Christ resurrected. It all took a lot of time and for all the translations but church started immediately once Constantine allowed them to come out ( He got saved) of catacombs where they had to hide to have church. catholic means universal and Orthodox means " correct teaching" Catholic is for the Roman Catholic but they are all catholic. Just Roman catholic changed things like bishops were all 'equal ' and then yes Roman bishop was a little more in charge over the bishops but not total overseer ...they 'all 'had to meet ,to change anything at all. Like the disciples they worked together, but that caused a bit of the schism once the Pope became head, as that never was ,earlier on. . They are all catholic though. They feel they have a direct linage from the disciples.

Reverseflush We had the wrath in 20th century not because our faith wasn't true, but because of our sins. Now this curse is lifted and our Orthodox Church is again rising to her glory.

Before god everything alike this is A B O M I N A B L E ❗ Jeremiah 10:2.... Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 10:3 - For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 10:4 - They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 10:5 - They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. Jeremiah, 10:8 - But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities. Jeremiah, 10:11 - Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. Jeremiah, 10:14 - Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. 15 - They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. Jeremiah, 10:21 - For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered. Read it until you understand it ❗

No, it isn't. This is continuation of Temple worship. Protestants do not understand the difference between idols and icons, and I fail to see how. Have you read the descriptions of the tent and the temple? How the Isrealites were ordered by God to mimic the worship in Heaven? To set up altars, offer insence and sacrifices? How Christ was the first one, and now, as the prophet said, the gentiles offer the perfect sacrifice, as we do with the eucharist, the bread and wine that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ commanded us to do in rememberance of Him? Study Church history, don't be a mini pope who interprets scripture as per his liking.

Rituals does not save your soul and neither does idolatry. (Exodus 20:4) Our Lord of Lords, King of Kings Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father. Praying to Mary or saints is idolatry. All prayers belongs to God period. (John 16:22) Please read your Bible. (John 8:32) (John 4:24) God bless you.

Ortodoxy not praying to Mary or saints. Ortodoxy cristians consider the life of siant, and imitate their faith, and asked to the saints to pray for the Church on earth. Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.(Hebrews 13:7) Saints pray to Jesus Christ for Earth Crurch. (Revelation (Apocalipsis) 5:8) Saints on the heven hear our prayer to God. (II Maccabees 15:12-14) James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working ________________________________ About icons. Must be distinguished : the sacred and not sacred, the true and the false image (Leviticus 10:10) , the holy icons and the idols . In this place only prohibited idol image ( " lest you act corruptly and make yourself an engraved image of an idol " - verse 16 ) . True images have some external similarities with false idols images. So by God's command were made and put on the lid of the ark two cherub with wings (Exodus 25:20 ) , like the " winged bird " (Deuteronomy 4:17) ; brazen serpent ( Num. 21:9 ) image was " anything that creeps on the earth " (Deuteronomy 4:18) ; prophet Ezekiel was shown by God for the second temple cherubim with human faces and lion ( Ezekiel 41:17 , 19 ), ie " Beast that is on the earth" ( Deuteronomy 4:17). No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.(John 1:18). Son declared Father - its is big Icon. Bigger on icon of angels. So.... Please read your Bible

So ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch. Matt. 15:14 You all need to repent and seek the truth. And this truth is in Jesus Christ. Paintings of Mary, or so called holy icons, the pope or anything else Catholics and orthodox church uses as idolatry will not, not, save you. Cursed is anyone who uses idolatry. Deuteronomy 27:15

Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. Ephesians 2 : 20, 22 Do not add to his words, or he may rebuke you and expose you as a liar. Proverbs 30 : 6 If you really think the Holy Bible alone is not sufficient. And you have rely on other books written by false Prophets. You are not a true Christian, and are been deceived by satan. The 66 books in the Holy Bible is all God has given us. You and your religion are misguided by the devil, and are spiritual blind, and spiritual dead. Behind almost every icon used by your religion, is a prayer, and the prayer is not to God. Behind every icon or statues there is a devil. So when Catholics or the orthodox church are worshiping an idol, they are worshiping a demon. You are probably angry, upset a and hurt to hear all these, but it is the truth.

Just keep on kissing your so called holy icons and keep on praying to dead people. Salvation is by faith alone and grace alone, it is a gift from God. Not by works and not by your ridiculous 7 sacraments and rituals.
