If you notice the Russian army has a larger force but are still playing defensive,even when they got the numbers. The war at this moment is not about battles, it is all about politics. This war will drag the EU and US i through the mud and they are doing it. No country can support another country that long, when there is recessions and inflation. The longer the war the harder it is.

The war has gone long enough that a mapping video of it can have midroll ads.

Total RU equivalent of boots in AO: 3 Field armies + 2 Corps. Total NATO/UA equivalent of boots in AO: 3 Field armies + 3 Corps. If number goes beyond 400.000 it's an Army Group (last seen in WW2) - If a side gets 50k more souls to their current manpower

This map is very helpful. The two sides aren't backing down, but increasing their involvement. I think this will drag on for years more. Impossible to say at this point who is going to win, there didn't seem to be big breakthroughs and developments that the first year had.

According to my observations, the number of soldiers is most likely underestimated. Back at the end of the summer of 2022, Ukrainian officials reported 700,000 military personnel (or 1 million together with all paramilitary formations). Russia, in addition to the 200,000 initial contingent, called for another 300,000 in 2022, and in 2023 reports are received on the recruitment of at least 250,000 fighters under contract. (and this is all without taking into account irregular and volunteer formations on both sides). It is clear that not all of these soldiers are directly on the line of contact, but they should also be among the participants

Russia right now probably has 200-300k total frontline personnel doing the fighting and defending the trenches, while having a total of 500-600k troops in Ukriane. Ukraine most likely has 900k-1m troops all the way from Brest to Kharkiv, Kharkiv to Kherson with only around 300-400k frontline personnel.

Yeah the casualte numbers are a bit misleading people think russia has lost hundreds of thousands and has few troops on the frontlines. In modern war th majority of wounded return to the battlefield pay more attention to the dead than wounded. As for the numbers russia has probably including donbas militias wich are mostly building trenches 460k troops from kherson to kharkiv. As for ukraine gotta agree around 700k though probably more around verbove right now. Its hard to tell since there is limited information on how complete russian trenchworks are and how thick/thin they are to help make estimations.

You should do a timelapse of all the estimated casualties on both sides as well. I'd say close to 100k KIA combined and 250k casualties. Also if you can, you should include all the Mercenaries that are not listed by either side, so they can fudge the numbers, but we all know are there.

He took mainstream media numbers. So take it with a pinch of salt. I must recommend Weeb Union to understand more deeply. The number are highly underestimated considering the division position on the front. Just focus on the number of UAF during the CO and you'll see that this is not accurate at all.

A Korean War style ceasefire could be one possible outcome, but the Russian Army isn't in nearly as good of a position to continue supplying soldiers in the western chunk of occupied Ukraine as North Korea was. The whole goal of the current counteroffensive is to make a logistical nightmare for Russian troops in Crimea and Kherson. It seems like somewhat steady progress is being made now, so once Tokmak is approached, Russian supply lines can be continually harassed until occupation in the west is untenable.

Из головы, это просто цифры на бумаге, а в реале может совсем иное, реальность может оказаться так - 700 тыс у Украины и у России 100 тыс, а может 100 млрд у России и 10 тыс у Украины, а может 500 тыс у обоих, но этого не узнаем, только после войны. ПО потери. Ибо все потом когда-то возрващаться надо.

I’m happy Europe didn’t directly send their troops to Ukraine. It would be a true disaster for many millions of people if they did. The first weeks and few months were very dangerous in terms of the conflict growing to World War 3. Now mostly it is “only” two countries clashing each other. Hope peace will come soon. Sorry for people dying there and will be dying until peace.

I'm inclined to say it indeed is just "special mil op". Russians would have gathered far more than just 150K troops to invade with initially if their goal was to take entire Ukraine, considering Ukraine had nearly 2x the number of troops against them. Even Israel has pretty much gathered nearly 500K troops in preparation for ground assault into Gaza.

Russia has 144 million people, they certainly can gather way more troops than Israel if required with that population pool. Russian active reserve alone is 2 million in strength.

That saying US politicians use all the time about fighting wars all over the world in the middle east and Asia, "We're fighting them over there, so we don't have to fight them over here." Why is the number of Ukrainian soldiers increasing soon after the start of their offensive? It doesn't make sense as there hasn't been a push for further mobilization.

Ukraine has currently serious problems to recruit, and many soldiers had been wounded or killed during the past 4 months, with terrible rates, so, yes, the number of ukrainian soldiers must have significantly decreased, the video is wrong on this point.
