Thank God! I thought I was going to watch another fear factor challenge with Balut. There are a lot of variations with Filipino food. But it's not as weird or odd as you think. It's actually typically normal because we use beef, pork, chicken, vegetables. All you really have to do is educate yourself through google or something.

Actually "kutsinta" is made of cassava flour not rice flour, my mom always accepts made to order of puto and kutsinta on holiday season.

Look I will not argue with you over the internet but the original recipe uses either tapioca or cassava flour and not rice flour, my mom said you have to use lye water if you use rice flour to have the consistency of the original kutsinta.
