"Марш Преображенского полка", also called by its full name, "Марш Лейб-гвардии Преображенского полка", is a Russian march dating back to the 18th century, dedicated to the Preobrazhensky Regiment founded in 1691. The march was first performed in 1716.
I do not represent any of the ideologies, countries, or religions shown on this channel. The purpose of this channel and its content is to historically present the music at hand and does not show support for nor against the party on screen, rather a neutral preservation standpoint so that the music is not lost to time. Same here, with the Yegerski Life-Guards March, Slavyanka's Farewell and the March of the Siberian Riflemen. The Semeonovsky and Izmailovsky Life-Guards marches are also nice. Little known fact is that the absolutely beautiful Great Tattoo March of the Bundeswehr aka Prussian army was directly copied from the Russian Imperial Army, on Wilhelm II's order himself, because he was so touched by it.

This is a well preserved and a wonderful song, glad that music of the Russian empire is still preserved as soviet music tends to be more popular
