To my dear Natalia, Thank you for explaining the origin of the days of the week, in Russian.
I like the way that you speak English,it sounds really good,i like your lessons,i want to learn some, you bring a whole new meaning to the word elucidate, excellent,
I think you've made the best video here of the Russian names for the days of the week by explaining their semantic origins. This makes it much easier to remember them. Bravo!
Thank you very much......for not having any accompanying music to "help" us learn! Thumbs up, Lady.
The additional information on how the names of the week are derived is excellent . Well done! Thank you!

THANK YOU SO MUCH
This is a one of the best video. 👍
Спасибо for saying the words slowly
I very agree with your method, but I need to tell that mechanic need to "see" (imagine to undersand) the fonction (attribution) of each part, each piece of a motor to correctly rebuilt it. We need to observe not only the "thing", but also the fonction (onction of each part. for instance injection system : imagine the way... from the beginner (entrance, induction) to the abduction). Russian language is very very very "fonctionnal"... it's a real pleasure to listen your "symphonic" voice, it's easier to memorize with you (orchestral conductor). Russian Soul save the deep and best "voice" of each who have "lost" the fondamental "support" (lost "his feet" -balance) .
hi natasha if i want to learn russian, what do you recommend to be my first step? thank you!! great videos by the way very useful!!

spasiba kharasho.
Хорошо
You got blue eyes... amazing
Interesting, Portuguese days are similar, they're numbered until the weekend when Saturday is named after the Sabbath and Sunday after Lord/God. I guess English is the oddball naming days after Norse gods and planets/Roman gods lol.
wow, spaciba, I didn't know that, the way the name were related, wow nice
i like russian language, russian counts are similar yo indian sanskrit counting
why is week Nieděla? when nie dělat means not work, we have it as Sunday in czech, because we don't work at sunday :D others are same, and yea week is týden

Marty toofree Very nice observation. Nedelya used to be the name for Sunday and the week was called Semidnitsa - seven days. Only later it was changed - Sunday became a day of resurrection and a week nedelya.
Reminds me of the woman from resident evil

Did russian language or week names not exist before Christ ? Why is then Sunday named after Christ's resurrection?
Is it true that russians eat potatoes?!
