You are right. Most books and videos seem to think writing Russian isnt a big deal but it is crucial. Learners need to know how to write. Writing in phoenetic is not a good solution in my opinion, since one is not dealing with how to read and pronounce. Writing the Russian letters in capital letters, on the othger hand, which is what nearly all youtube trainers do, is impractical for students because a) it is not what native speakers do 2) it is extremely awkward and slow and demotivating I shall buy some practice books.
Well thank u for addressing the biggest confusion that I've had about connecting the cursive letters
the connecting of letters is a very important advice that I got in this video, thanks

Good question! You would create a straight stroke after O and connect it to the beginning of M (which remember starts with a little foot sticking up). Let me show you the time where I am showing this in this video.

Do most Russian writers write in cursive?
@alyonasclasslive8091
4 жыл бұрын
Not sure about writers, but “regular” people (like myself :)) all write in cursive when write by hand. I don’t know one Russian person who prints when taking notes...
@KapnHook

@@alyonasclasslive8091 That's exactly what I was looking for, thank you! The reason I asked is because English people print letters when writing, cursive is rarely used. I wasn't sure if Russian was the same way.
