Russian Akula II RC Submarine "Vepyr" in 1/96th scale

One of Russia's most deadly hunter-killers, the Akula II class of submarine. This kit was originally built by Scott Terry out of Australia, but we gutted it, upgraded it and got it ready for patrol once more.
As of June 27th, this boat is for sale. Info and pricing can be found on my website at www.nautilusdrydocks.com. If it's not there, it's been sold!

I lived quite close to Scott for several years. He has now moved down south of NSW in Nowra. His work is superb. We used to catch up with our projects. He was not only a superb assembler but an awesome scratch builder too. Before he left he gave me a huge block of Renshape. So generous..
The weathering on this boat is incredible .

Marvelous paint work. I just finished a Amur 1650 hull in fiberglass at 1/60 scale and I´d like to show you some pictures but I don´t know how.
what do you call the valve you used to vent the OTW WTC ?
My favorite submarine of all time, and an incredibly detailed model at that! Awesome! That said, do you have any plans to assemble a Virginia Class Attack Sub?

As luck would have it, I just secured a hull of that model from an estate sale. I should be getting it in August, so... it will on the to do list!
Russian submarine Vepr (not Vepyr 😁)(K-157). Means "wild boar" in English. Vepr' (soft "r").

im confused now, does Akula class submarine have retractable dive planes or not?

Yes, they pull directly back inward into the hull.
