Minsk, Minsk II (2014) peace agreement, Ankara Agreement (2022)... Russia has learned that Kyiv's word cannot be trusted. Their actions will. Until that time, methodical advances. Had the democratically elected government of Ukraine NOT been deposed by a foreign backed and bloody coup,the people would have had their referendum on whether to join the EU/NATO or accept a very lucrative financial package and cheap energy from Russia just to stay neutral. No one would have died. Ukrainians would not have been killing their own people.

Just beware not to cross some redlines that *we want to be respected* .Breaking this deal would bring about russian retaliation and consequently NATO would be easily directly involved into a no return escalation of the war. This shouldn't be happening,you ukrainians have to live with it.... " - So far at the Pentagon they're apparently focused on weakening the Russian Federation but neither they want a direct clash nor they want the Russian Federation to fall into pieces as it would be causing a number of huge issues all over the Asian Continent.The fall of the Russian Federation would actually bring about a few strategic nasty side effects for the US.
