I'm Belgian and this is 1st thing I hear of it. We cannot supply F16 until at least 1 more year I think, when F35 starts arriving. But we didn't join the program early like NL did so they have plenty of F16s & so does Denmark, so who needs ours lol, with time that can happen tho, atl east 1 thing there's plenty of.. As long as it's F16 with modern Block upgrade like Aesa radar, but i think that's the case.

If delivery of F16s by Belgium doesn't jeopardise its security then that also means it didn't enhance its security. 🤣🤣🤣 Clowns.

This was at the same time revelations about the Russian massacre of civilians at Bucha were coming out and Ukraine was in no mood for an agreement with a dictator who had occupied Crimea and invaded their country under false premises (Nazis , genocide of ethnic Russian , etc.) Ukraine didn't trust Putin and for good reason.

@@hernandocortez6351 okay holy crap.. i don't know why i found this so funny, but that comment really got me laughing. meticulously-maintained pristine 2,500 foot runways.. those 1,500 foot ukrainian runways are no joke, they've been getting upgraded to prepare for the arrival of the F-16s by the end of 2024! they've really been working hard to get those 1,000 foot runways ready for the arrival of the F-16s in 2026. those 500 foot runways in ukraine will really act as a force multiplier for the fourth generation aircraft that are scheduled to be delivered by 2030! the 100 foot runways that are under construction could accommodate a massive fleet of stealth bombers that will be given to ukraine in 2050. hahaha! joking aside though, i'm curious to see when they finally end up delivering these to ukraine, and how they end up being used given that we're talking very old airframes from probably the 1970s and 1980s that are way past their intended number of hours of flight and that will require a massive amount of maintenance. there's a reason why countries get rid of their old fleets at a certain point.. it becomes way too expensive and challenging and time-consuming to maintain them, to the point where you'd be able to just get brand new F-35s for pretty much the same price. but nobody is gonna give such advanced aircraft to ukraine, so they're stuck with the old stuff. i'm sure it will help them somewhat, but it's gonna be interesting to see what specific munitions they get with them since that is going to make all of the difference in terms of what they are able to actually achieve with these, especially given that we're talking extremely tiny amounts of like two squadrons delivered over the course of 2024 to like 2027 or something in small batches of less than a dozen here and there. if they send them with crappy old and outdated missiles, they're not going to have any impact on the battlefield so they really need the newer types of munitions and air-to-air missiles. maybe something in between the really old ones and the brand new stuff that is now coming out, since those need to be kept for an upcoming war with china and can't be allowed to fall into the hands of the enemy before such a conflict kicks off. i'm also curious to see how they will manage to figure out a way to operate them inside ukraine while russian cruise missiles keep raining in. the russians have gotten a lot better at carrying out strikes deep inside ukraine, and i'm sure they'll be doing everything that they can to strike these and get a massive propaganda victory and deal a devastating morale blow to ukraine if say half a dozen get delivered later this year and like two of them get taken out in a single russian missile strike. if you have six with two under maintenance at any moment and two others destroyed, that leaves you with just two that are combat ready. really can't afford to lose any of them. and whatever location is chosen to base these aircraft is gonna be the number one target of russia, so they really need some beefed up air defenses out there. and even then, it's always possible to overwhelm air defenses and make it through if you just throw enough missiles at a particular location, so it's gonna be tough. i'm hoping they have some old soviet underground facility large enough to store a bunch of aircraft or something like that, otherwise it's really gonna be tough to prevent the russians from scoring a few hits on some of these. i imagine we'll find out soon enough.

What performance can you expect from a jet that takes approximately a year to travel to Ukraine?

People here are talking about each country desiding for themselves. It sounds great on paper, BUT ordinary people are "dumb" cause they hear only these things, which government and social media want them to hear and know. This is a war of different opinions and agendas that were pulled on ukranians before the war. Nobody from civilians wanted to go to the war. Why Russia is wrong: Russia was protecting their own culture and agenda by annexing Crimea. They could have avoided the war by making wise diplomatic solutions but couldn't. They lost an information war in Ukraine to the West, which was pretty predictable considering things that West can afford financially and Russia don't. Why Ukraine is wrong: They were fooled by West when they believed that they were one of us and they could join EU and NATO. The only thing Ukraine can give to us is cheap, poor working-class, hackers, bad grain, and beautiful women, unfortunately. West would have needed to put trillions in Ukraine to make it look like Western countries and decaides to wash their entirely different mentality to make it more Western, too. I seriously dispute any claim that Ukraine has done any sigficant damage with their crude drones. Russia has however done significant damage to the Ukraine's infostructure. What's that like a 20 to 1 damage ratio at least? I would take that any day.

Or do they first have to be repaired?. Are the F35's not yet delivered to Belgium, so that they can send the old stock to Ukraine. Russia just does not seem to be able to take out Ukraine's air defenses. Why is there still rail traffic between Poland and Ukraine. The first thing the US would have done is take out the entire rail network and air defense like Israel does. War wonderful war. Such a profitable business for the merchants of death, the MIC, the banksters and all the politicians involved that benefit from war, at the expense of the MSM dumbed down ignorant taxpayers. The Russians Special Military Operation is not making full on war. If they were Keiv would be rubble, Zelenki and the government and Ukrains railways, trains nothing but twisted iron. Reliable estimates say the largest part of the Russian Armed forces have not been employed in Ukraine and being prepara6 to defend against US/NAT0 attacking them. If the US does attack the Russians Russia will attack their homelands and then the headlines will be which US, NATO cities are burning. Remember whose the US Commander and Chief who in comparison makes even Kamikaze Zeleneki appear to be a capable leader. Hopefully the guilable Americans voters will replace him with compentant, non senile, peace making individual as their next President. A President who was not taken millions in bribes from Ukrain billionaires and is still likely to be skimming off the Billions being spent in Ukrain.

By the end of 2024??? 😅😅😅😅😅 The war will be over by August 2024. It is almost impossible to retrain a pilot to go from a MIG or Typhoon or any airframe to an F-16 or vice-versa. The years of training on one airframe create muscle memory. When tenths of a second count, trying to remember what you're supposed to do in the "new" airframe is enough time to get you killed. If they think getting an old Bradley is bad, just wait! They are getting F-16s that are at the end of their useful life. These planes will be destroyed before their first mission.
