Russia Is Testing Their New Secret Bomber

Russia Is Testing Their New Secret Bomber
The Cold War brought with it new challenges and new ambitions. With satellites and rockets increasingly sent into space during the 50’s and 60’s, the then Soviet Union set out to protect its military interests from threats both on the ground and from low orbit. The fear was that it’s enemies could mount weapons to satellites and they needed to be ready just in case.
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-105 spaceplane in 1976 was supposed to be the Soviet’s answer to this problem - a plane able to take off and enter low earth orbit purely on its own propulsion. To do so, the MiG-105 would need to incorporate features of both aircraft and spacecraft in a strange hybrid build. A successful space plane would be subject to extreme velocities and temperatures upon re-entry so appropriate heat shielding would be required.
While the structural design was unique and effective, the spaceplane lacked the acceleration required to leave earth’s atmosphere. Technology needed to catch up to the radical design. After a series of failed tests under the Spiral program, the experimental concept plane was cancelled.
Despite the failure, Soviet engineers learnt a lot from the MiG-105’s development and it’s said many fundamental design features were carried over to the development of a top-secret new fighter jet in the new millennium.

It seems that the Chinese and Russian air force is working hard on 6th Gen. aircrafts. They will develop the next supersonic bomber soon. The speed of invention is high and the US are not able to hold the pace. The US had been ahead 15 years ago with the F-22 - unfortunately that plane (185 pcs.) was expensiv. The US are in steady economic and military decline. The F-35 (multirole) is slow - has no range and only few weapons. The Ford carrier is still in problems as well as Zumwalt and LCS ships. Arleigh Burke and Ticonderoga are old (30years) and have to be replaced. The competitor have hypersonic missiles, S-400/S-500 DF-17/DF21/DF26 and anti stealth radar and H-20/J-31/J-20/SU-57 and Dark Sword UAV fighters. Why has the US lost the pole position? Most of the US infrastructure is worn out, bridges - roads and airports, water supply - electric installation all this is old and not reliable. Most of the 740 Bil. US$ military budget is for the salaries and support of 800 US-bases around the world but for what reason? Whom should we protect and why have we fighted 188 conflicts since 1991 and only 48 between 1945 and 1991? Why Afghanistan - Syria - Lybia - Sudan - and all other wars without a clear mission? That was like bleeding the power and recources and the world has developed in a fast way against the USA.

Yes and you will wake up tomorrow and they will fly! Bloody hell why do you think that only Americans are able to create military equipment? Russia is leading in Hypersonic missiles in quite submarines, S-400/S-500 in electronic warfare and fighter planes. They have radar to detect the F-22/F35 and missiles to bring them down in 250 mls. distance. The F-35 is even not in range to strike before the pilot will be shot down. Wake up - the only plane that has a chance to survive is the F-22 but the US airforce has stopped the production 15 years ago. China and Russia is not rising - the US superpower is in steady decline - military and economical and from this point of view are the competitors passing the USA.

I heard that the new Russian plane will be able to travel backwards and forwards in time, able to travel to the Andromeda galaxy and back through wormholes and be home in time for dinner. Its heat shield is so powerful it can travel through the center of the sun. Be careful Captain Jean Luc Picard. If it meets you in the 24th century the Enterprise won't stand a chance against it. It's all there in computer simulation. BTW Russia, how's that new 100,000 ton aircraft carrier coming along? How about that nuclear powered missile with infinite range?

I think there is a type in the script at about the 5:29 mark when talking about the Tsirkon missile going approx. 31 miles (50k) in 4.5 minutes and reaching mach 8. That time and distance is only a little over 400 mph. Latest intelligence says there are kinks in that missile yet to be worked out and that they actually lost that missile, as in they do not know where it wound up. As far as the ATN 51 rumor, it is just that. The only thing known is they are developing a 5th gen bomber and everything else is mere speculation based on rumor and fear.

For an aircraft with air-breathing engines, methane (CH4) would make more sense. It is denser and requires less tank volume. It just burns a bit hotter. Hydrogen burns CO2-free, but it is only climate-friendly if generated by electrolysis, and the power required comes from a CO2-emission-free source like hydropower or nuclear power. A vehicle like the Reaction Engines Ltd. Skylon profits from the higher exhaust velocity of a hydrogen-burning engine when in rocket mode. Je Suis Samuel.

Development of 6th gen strategic hypersonic fighter, fighter/bombers are just a matter of time. These flying machines, are almost certainly going to be unnamed autonomous platforms controlled and flown by AI, as acceleration/deceleration or sudden turn to avoid incoming threats will put such machines under extreme G Force which for humans will be fatal.

@@majeizyusop4732 No one is questioning the brilliance of Russian engineers and weapons designers. They are some of the most cutting edge thinkers on the planet. The problem with Russian weapons production is the backward and oligarchic system that Putin runs wherein his cronies get filthy rich while the economy falters and prevents quantity weapons production. And yes sanctions should stay in place until Russia under Putin stops its aggression against its neighbors.

Its not that Russia wanna re- invade ukrine but what were doing is only trying to stop American influence in that region. Remember! @@Wargunsfan You are quite aptly describing your own country, where the state pays 1000 dollars for an hammer and 5000 dollars for a toilet seat, whereas Putin neutralized Russias oligarchs to a great extent. Why do you think the Russians achieve what they do, with not even a tenth of the American "defence" budget? Wake up to reality. Surely some mistake here 5:27 The missile covered a distance of 31 miles (50km) in 4.5 minutes. Hardly a threat is it? At that rate it would only be averaging 413 mph (665 km) or just over half the speed of sound. Hardly hypersonic is it? 😂

@@Eugensdiet I can see where you got the 45 seconds from. However, this would be approx. 0.69 miles/sec (1.11 k/sec) x 3600 = 2,485 mph (4,000 kph). The narrator, however says, “this equates to over 8 x the speed of sound. The speed of sound in air at sea level is approx. 767mph (1,234 kph) so 8 x that would be 6,136 mph (9,874kph) or 1.7 m/sec (2.74 k/sec) At that average speed it would traverse the distance stated in 18.24 seconds. Unless I’ve got my maths wrong I think it’s fair to say the maker of this video has got his facts twisted somewhere. If we assume that he needs new glasses and has misread 3 X speed of sound as 8 X speed of sound, then your 45 seconds would be just about right.
