    F-35 Lighting vs Yakovlev Yak-141. Actually USA purchased the technology from Yakovlev after collapse of Soviet Union, due to lack of fund and due to bankruptcy of Yakovlev Design bureau. This Russian company forced to sell its design to USA. The result is no USA operating VTOL (Vertical Take Off & Landing) aircraft.

    The US has one of the most documented militaries, yet you don't know that the US navy and marines have a few dozen F35C, the vtol variant?

    The F-35 doesn’t use the same VTOL system as the Yak, they just so happen to look similar.

    @@kenryoshithe F-35C isn’t the VTOL variant, that would be the F-35B. The F-35C is the CATOBAR variant.

    @@raghabnpanda no, it’s not even a similar system, it just visually looks similar. It(the F-35) does however resemble a system that was proposed for the Convair model 200. The Rolls Royce lift system wasn’t developed off of the Yak-141.

    bro, Russia does not have aircraft carriers, so it makes no sense to produce aircraft with vertical takeoff

    Hawker Siddeley Harrier ( UK ) - Testy - pierwszy pionowy poprawny start 1960, 1964 - pierwsze poważne modyfikacja 1967- oficjalnie w służbie RAF .... Co ten klip ma udowodnić ?? JAK 141 - prace rozpoczęto w 1975, następnie w 1987 miał miejsce pierwszy lot testowy a w 1991 ... program zakończono - po katastrofie prototypu, a sam samolot nigdy nie wszedł nigdy do służby
