This is an appropriate comparison bc hurt was entering a brand new situation with very low chemistry. Give it time. Broncos just expected a very unrealistic situation. If you wanted to make the playoffs they should have hired Sean Payton as your coach. Russ is not washed but he is playing poorly.

I just don’t understand how your offense was somehow better with teddy bridgewater as your starting QB. This has been a disaster

As a life long 12 let me just tell Denver fans this... Russ's first six games of the year, are ALWAYS the best he plays all season!! Sorry, thanks for the picks tho!!

Bottom line is Russell Wilson is afraid to get hit. He can't wait to get rid of the ball too early... he's not making reads because he's too busy worrying about not getting hit. Maybe he's lost a step, but he's really lost his courage to play the game the way one needs to. Kudos to Pete and John! We're gonna be alright up here in Seattle!

That may be the case. I think back to the Vikings and Chuck Foreman. He was never the same after he took a brutal hit. After that he would hit the line going in backwards. Maybe Russell has a negative event tattooed on his brain too.

All WRs are under credited. QBs do not put the ball exactly where it needs to be, despite what analyst or people in the booth (who are mostly QBs so the bias is also evident). Many times they throw it to an area and hope the WR goes and gets the ball. Aaron Rodgers threw a deep ball last week that was really slightly under thrown and to the inside. And should have been thrown looping over the outside shoulder. But because the DB didn't look back the WR had to make a diving catch to his inside and came up with the completion. But of course the announcer says that Rodgers put the ball where only the receiver can get to it.

This is my take, peanut butter is good by its self. Jelly is good by its self. Bread is good by its self. When you put it all together, you get the 2012 and 2013 Seahawks.

It’s ironic that despite Russ being afraid to get hit and getting rid of the ball early forcing passes, it was him holding the ball too long on that final possession that lost them the game finally

Nick said it, what’s wrong is Russ isn’t under Pete’s cover any longer. The system made him look good. He had great receivers that made him look good. He had a great defense that put him in good field position and let him not have to make as many points on offense. Russ, as other well known QBs have said, is not the guy to carry a team. He’s not that great, never has been.

The biggest problem that I see with Russ is that, if you really pay attention to his pocket presence--he's afraid to get hit, anymore. He's flinching a lot--and I mean A LOT. They teach you this in Little League football--if you can't take getting hit, then you shouldn't be playing. But, for me, that's where the issues START with Russ--basically, he doesn't want to be hit anymore--that's why he rarely runs the ball himself and that he just goes by his first read--he's afraid of getting hit. Period.

Deshaun is young though, he's not going to fall off a cliff like Russ did, and at least the Cowboys didn't trade multiple starters and draft picks for their QB.

Last two or three years in Seattle, was fire Pete, now He's in Denver, and they are fire Hackett. Russ has a good heart, and is a good dude deep down. Hey money will mess up the the best of us. Especially if you role with Jesus; man if your ego gets out of check, God will humble you. He humbles himself, and make things right up stairs, he will be fine in the end. Honestly glad he ain't in Seattle anymore, and like Nick said, there are other players in Seattle that are pretty good, outside one man.
