Andrew Sachs is a gentle 78-year old man, he doesn't want to hear about his grand-daughter's sex life. He was deeply upset by these calls. That's why it was unacceptable.

How do you know he doesn’t want to hear about his granddaughters sex life? Even if doesn’t WANT to hear about it, why would you be bothered hearing about it? Did he know she worked as a burlesque dancer with Satanic Sluts Extreme?

@@drmikehuntphd7905 no he stated that when he lived in Berlin he admired Stalin who he thought looked like a kind uncle and hated Hitler. He then said he always considered himself a communist. It's the sort of ignorant propaganda that is damaging to history, although Hitler was hated during the war Stalin was far worse, he is responsible for more deaths and is thought to be alongside Mao in the ammount of death and suffering caused. He also sanctioned mass rape in Eastern Europe, murdered deserters, and held people in Gulags for years. It's similar to the nonsense that soviet socialism was any different from Nazi socialism, if collated it is clear that both organisations committed the same crimes. However the big issue here is that someone with communist leanings came to Democratic Britian and took advantage of all the benefits of a free society whilst harbouring these views dangerous to the people, his dad was a Prussian jew with an iron cross and did not fight for the allies once they arrived here either, it seems his loyalty lied with the enemy at the time even though he was no longer welcome there, the Prussians were known as some of the most violent soldiers in WW1.

@@Chris-dc5vb I didn't say I was happy, I said Andrew Sachs would be. It's because Brand was especially and unnecessarily nasty to Sachs. Sachs should delight in seeing Brand at least sweat it for his behaviour, whether the allegations are true or not. Brand was all over the place, acting justifiably punchable for years with his womanizing and his mouth. You've leapt straight ahead in your logic to assume I would be pleased about someone being a rapist. I'm not sick, but thanks for the respect, guy.

I dont really see it as her fault necessarily, taking it from say family experience personally have heard not like horrible stories or anything about particularly one of my cousins like anything bad against women like rape or anything like that but things like well their mother (my aunty) would be appalled about haha. But that it wasn't really her fault and she was trying before Andrew Sachs died to get into acting and could have really done with some of his advice, is a real shame hope they reconciled before Andrew died.

I mean, I'm not too offended by it, and neither apparently was Andrew Sachs himself, but think of all the schoolteachers / judges / doctors / waiters / office workers who'd actually get the sack for using this kind of language whilst on the job!

Eric Crawford You will be pleased to hear that I am not from the US then. Slander and defamation of character is legalese for "no fun allowed". Explain to me, how exactly did a couple silly voice messages "slander" and "defame" the recipient? Seriously, how? You can laugh at the jokes or you can find them too juvenile and just ignore the whole thing. But to get upset over it? Now *that's* juvenile.

Field of View I'm disgusted you're even on the planet. Slander and defamation of character may be of use to yourself personally one day, maybe soon. If you're referring to Andrew Sachs, I wasn't. When you're subject to slander yourself, please let me know how much ''fun'' you're having. Until then, shut up.

    1. It was wossy mostly egging him on 2. Why would you wish for deplatforming, that's a very bad faith take 3.This was funny, at the expense of a little needless shade being thrown at Sachs but he can buck up he got a little buzz around his name again and ingratiated himself with a newer audiance. Russell brand is a major tit but if you think this is why he should be cancled so are you.

By the way, next time a license fee inspector knocks on your door, don't let them in! They DO NOT have right of entry into your house. They need a police warrant for that, which in 99% of cases they won't bother going through the process.

Worth quoting Alexander Armstrong "What was so funny about it was how grimly inappropriate it was. It was the nearest thing to slapstick I’ve ever heard on the radio. It’s the equivalent of two people trying to carry a piano up the stairs and it just falling down to the bottom each time. It was hilarious because it was wrong - you don’t say that to a national treasure. Some people’s senses of humour are able to deal with that Other people's gorge rises and they go, “That’s just appalling.”’

I have a mental condition similar to Russel's but in a much milder form. It is sometimes easy to get swept up in the excitement of a situation and say or do what you think would make things 'more interesting' without considering the long term detrimental effects of your actions, during this entire call Russell recognises that he has made a mistake very early on, but he remains excitable and hyperactive until the call has finished, when the reality may well sink in.
