    Thank God her and her parents (I’m sure they had to give permission for her to testify) stood up to him. There’s no telling how many he would have killed if she hadn’t stopped him. The smugness he had was infuriating. Their dads had some great control cause I would’ve taken care of the problem myself if he had killed my child. He definitely would’ve got that smug look erased.

    Imagine your baby girl's been horrifically abused and murdered. It's obvious to anyone with even a semi-functioning prefrontal cortex that all the evidence points to one specific vile character, and yet the tabloids and gossips accuse *YOU.* Then the police pile on, accusing you of the absolute worst thing a parent can do to their child, and it goes on like this for _years._ It's just horrible.

    I hope Little Miss X is proud of herself for being so brave and courageous. After surviving such a violent and brutal attack when she was just seven, her bravery was heroic and she got a monster off the streets which undoubtedly prevented another young girl from being attacked. For only being seven, her recollection and articulate statement was critical to getting the predator locked up forever. She’s clearly an exceptional person and I hope she was able to find healing and peace and was able to move forward and live a happy life.

    It's hard to be a parent when your child takes a life and you've been nothing than loving and supportive. I say this because it happend in our family. My second cousin and his wife are nice humble hardworking people. They had one son and they raised him like any normal and couple would. He had a bit of a temper and struggled in school but like so many teenagers they got him the right help and when he wanted to become a clini clown, they understood he was really passionate about this. He even won awards for his act. He met a woman and she had been married before to a landscaping engineer with whom she had 3 kids. (I'll say this in his defence but I'm not ok with what he did. He got belittled all the time, because he didn't have a serious job and we only knew later that for example...He had to eat his dinner at a seperate table, the kids would completely ignnore him in the house) One day he lost it, but instead of leaving. He tied those teenagers up in the attick and then strangled his girlfriend. He went to jail. His father went to visit every week but his mother never could forgive him and so she never did. He ended up killing himself. The parents lost a lot of friends and were looked down upon while they never had a clue of what went on in their son's household. Not every parent is a good one but even good people get blamed or schunned as wel when their kids commit horrible crimes...and the shame of it stays with them. 🥺🙁😲. Thanks for letting me tell this story.

    Disgusting family member you have. With all the evidence the family has seen (they even assaulted police officers) they had no excuse to still pretend their "little boy who would never hurt anyone but rob people, steal cars, know the police well, he din do nuffin" didn't rape and murder two children and then rape and attempt to murder another child. I completely understand why there was an angry mob.

  • @Pimpernella

    @Pimpernella

    Жыл бұрын

    @@The_Cholo this could be debated but the point I was trying to make...or the question... If your child was to commit a murder? Would you still have love for them or not? I know in some cases it is very difficult too see the truth, accept the evidence and then what? My family member and his wife are still thinking why he never said anything about his home situation? They think they could avoided him from killing his girlfriend. They blame themselves. But remember he was a clown. And his grandparents were not good people. But his parents really are...As a normal person, I think you can see what a dilemma this could be? And we have to realize it isn't always parents your child is growing up with...uncles, neighbours, teachers can do things to your kid without you knowing and when shame is involved your never going to know about it. It's my opinion it's the luck of the draw sometimes and everyone should be in their rights to fight for their kids. But for some they left it too late.

    My god, the bravery of Little Miss X - if she hadn’t escaped, how many more little girls would’ve been killed. At first I thought, oh good, surely this’ll be a death penalty case, then realised it was the U.K. I am more and more favouring the death penalty in the U.K. with cases like this well beyond any doubt. Great work as always.

    How many innocents die or have their lives ruined by criminals who have been released, then compare that to the number of those wrongly prosecuted and imprisoned (and despite the questionable claims of some lobbying groups it isn't very many at all). There are likely hundreds of people who suffer for every one individual who benefits from the provision that it is better release nine criminals than have one innocent suffer, and the balance likely skews even more once lax parole and insulting sentences are taken into account.

    These vigilantes became the thing they hate/fighting against: people who put children in dangerous situations that may lead to their murder. Who starts a fire in a house that has 3 innocent children in it, despite what their father did or didn't do? Potentially harming children as revenge is disgusting.

    There is no limit to the number of sick people for you to report on but I'm glad that you make the names of the victims known. Little Miss X was a brave little girl who I hope was able to receive the help she needed to live a normal life. One thing that really angered me was hearing how a woman interviewed after Russell was found guilty commented that he would never have worn the blue sweatshirt. She said 'he liked to wear his sweatshirts tight. He had a beautiful body.' That sounds like one of those nutjobs who writes serial killers! Disgusting.

    This happened the year I was born, and growing up I was always told not to play in the woods. I was born in Brighton, lived there most of my life, used to walk the dogs in Stanmer Park with my family. Its one of the things I don't think the town of Brighton has ever forgotten. I remember there being quite a big deal made of the twenty year anniversary in 2006.

Honestly, some of the things you discussed were much worse than I expected. I have flashbacks daily. Sometimes more. I didn’t realize the shame and humiliation I would feel on behalf of these women, having experienced some trauma of my own. 😂 That is my fault for putting myself here in the first place. All that to say, I don’t know if there can be a stronger warning but I know I will tend my own heart better. Thank you for what you do. I feel like you speak for so many victim and survivors.

    Side note about the hymen is that it can remain intact regardless whether or not someone is penetrated. It is a flexible piece of tissue and while it can tear for a variety of reasons that have nothing to do with sex, it can also remain intact in spite of sex. All in all is should have zero to do with determining whether or not someone has been penetrated.

It was so upsetting and even now a such a tragic event that never leaves you.
