Based on the poem of the same name by Alexander Pushkin. On the wedding day of the glorious knight Ruslan and Lyudmila, daughter of Prince Vladimir of Kiev, the bride is kidnapped by the evil dwarf Chernomor. In search of the beauty, four are sent: inconsolable Ruslan, Khazar Khan Ratmir, Prince Rogday and puffy Farlaf. Many difficult roads had to be overcome by Ruslan, endured by the intrigues of witches, wood goblins, mermaids, pass through a burning forest, in a battle with a gigantic Head he gets a sword and learns about the source of Chernomor strength - his beard. Having freed Lyudmila, he takes her sleeping home. This is where the cunning Farlaf awaits him. He kills sleeping Ruslana and kidnaps Lyudmila. But the wizard revives Ruslana so that he could defeat the enemies of the Russian prince. Ruslan wins, exposes Farlaf and awakens Lyudmila by the power of love.
