Rush Hour Trains at: Milton Keynes Central, WCML, 01/07/21

An excellent evening session spent at Milton Keynes Central on the West Coast Mainline where we see countless services from Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway, Southern and freight from Royal Mail, DB Cargo UK, GBRF and Freightliner.
The station was built in May 1982 so it really is one of the youngest stations on the West Coast Mainline, the station has seen a couple of redevelopments. Mostly this was throughout 2006 when platform 6 was introduced, this was to allow stopping express trains to use platform 5 in either direction. The other addition was to bring in a new bay platform with platform 2A. This was built for what extension of the Marston Vale Line, but subsequently this never happened and is now used mostly by Southern. However this also could be used for the East - West Rail traffic at some stage depending on what rolling stock they decide to use.
My next rush hour film will be from Welham Green on the East Coast Mainline.

Ahh Milton Keynes!!! My local station! I always go there to trainspot and it is amazing station to spot at!

MK is a great station to go to, yeah apologies for the wobbly camera work usually it's a lot smoother than this
Always have loved Milton Keynes Central as it just has a different feel compared to other stations

That's debatable. For me it's either the WCML or GWML...
Hi mate another great video mate I really enjoyed it every interesting I would love to see class390 in intercity swallow livery I think it would great that livery i remember the class//81/82/85/86/87/90/310/317/321/501/313/APT/Ps on the wcml in the 1980s I miss they the wcml is my favourite line in uk stay safe and well mate goodbye for now clive in N.lreland
London Northwestern Railway are replacing the Class 319 with the Class 730 and I think that they could be going to Northern to increase more capacity that Northern wants.

Love these 325s noise when speeding. Loads of container freight trains here, is it always like that in MKC? I also like the noise when 390s departs or passes slowly. People that doesn't respect yellow lines, nothing new unfortunately... Great video.

Aren't the 350/2s being replaced soon? Maybe that's why they're looking a bit shabby. As an aside, I've always loved the sounds that Desiro units produce, stemming from the 450s and 444s on the Portsmouth Direct Line which passes through my Grandmother's village.

I think the 350s are being replaced for newer trains maybe for 444’s? I checked the internet and class 730s are due to come out in 2022 for London northwestern I know that the southwestern 450s/455s are being replaced for the 701s Southeastern on the otherhand are getting brand new 707s this year
