I was 14 and recorded this when it aired. I had to keep my boom-box low because it was a school night. What a time that sadly my own son will never appreciate.

I loved the way how Rush progressed and changed its sound over the years. My favourite album remains 'Hold Your Fire'. Love them all, but I love the 80s Rush.

Man, I can’t believe this is online, even after realizing long ago that the internet lets nothing die. I listened to this in the dark, under my blanket when it aired back in ‘84, and recorded it on my Radio Shack tape recorder. Thanks for putting it up!

So many women calling in. Kind of belies the reputation of the band with women. Especially my own experience of those I know and have met over the years. Good to that so many people out there recognize the greatness of Rush.

Awesome, thanks. This is all before my time but love learning about the thoughts behind these Rush albums. Grace Under Pressure is one of their finest records. Touching all the way through

Geddy’s reference to Vangelis just floored me as an influence to start using keyboards because Vangelis is my main inspiration for learning keyboard. Crazy!

I was at that concert in Tucson when Geddy was hit in the head with a lighter by some drunk asshole. Gedddy was pissed when he came back out to play but pressed on and finished the show. Because of that incident, Rush never returned to Tucson and we had to drive to Phoenix to see them from then on.

Just goes to show influences come from any and all angles and backgrounds! How's it going as a Vangelis-inspired keyboardist? I'm aware of Yes' Jon Anderson's work with Vangelis and it's amazing!

This poor girl at the 2:40 mark would never suspect bands would regularly take 5-13 years to release albums in the future.

For years i thought the letters on the cover were the initials for their names: peart, lifeson, geddy

I wasn't born until 2002, but I can't imagine that happening. Rush are some of the most lovely, compassionate guys out there and Geddy did not deserve that in any way...just an unfortunate decision I suppose. Glad nothing too serious (injury wise) followed after that but I imagine the person was kicked out of the place. I wonder if there should be some kind of transparent divider that can be put up between audience and performer if the performer so chooses, as these kinds of events still happen today.

There were always a fun listen. I think there was one show in 1989/90 where they even had Neil on the air.
