This whole album just requires a full sit down to listen beginning to end. The best thing they recorded. After my first listen I sat in silence for a good 2 minutes trying to figure what to do with the rest of my life because I had heard perfection! So I hit PLAY again.

hahahaha great and again and again
These guys are the greatest band ever. Period. No question. Their talent is unmatched. They are so freaking tight together. I've seen them 79 times in concert and have always been blown away by their talent. They are so amazing. Enjoy your RUSH journey.
A stunning album! 'Headlong Flight' and their final studio track, 'The Garden' (live version!), are both essential listening.
In the most recent tours, Geddy stopped using bass amps live and would plug the bass into the PA system and hear everything through monitors. So the space behind him was filled with various things. A large group of dryers or chicken rotisserie machines. These would appear functional during the show. It was just part of the bands humour. The reason the lyrics are related as this was a concept album based on a story.
Lyrically, Clockwork Angels chronicles a young man’s quest across a lavish and colorful world of steampunk and alchemy as he attempts to follow his dreams. The story features lost cities, pirates, anarchists, exotic carnival, and a rigid Watchmaker who imposes precision on every aspect of daily life. Science fiction novelist Kevin J. Anderson, a long time friend of Neil, wrote a novelization of Clockwork Angels, which was released in September of 2012.
It's difficult to grasp the album, properly, without reading the 'stream punk' novel Neil conceived, and that Kevin J Anderson turned into the finished article. The songs are abstracted versions of the novel's chapters.
When you were reading the lyrics to Caravan you kept going into BU2B! So no, they don't repeat. 😊

Yeah i figured that out at the end thank you for clarifying tho cause i wasn't sure even then😁👍
This album is a concept album, with the tracks set up to be enjoyed on their own, or as part of the story. The story is on the album, which Neil also adapted into a novel. Check it out!
When a beautiful girl say they love Rush. I understand. These guys are almost 40yrs together at this time .And they still got it.
2112 is Epic. It's the Rush song that made a fan in 1978. "The Garden" live version is so visually beautiful Clockwork Angels album "Far Cry" from the Snakes & Arrows album. Clockwork Angels album took a few listens to really appreciate it.
BU2B is a song about religion and stands for Brought Up To Believe.

It also stands for Be You To Be.
I love seeing new fans discovering Rush and appreciating how good they were. Then I lament because they’ll never be able to see them in person, which was always exciting. I enjoyed watching the three do their best to replicate the songs live doing whatever they needed to do. Amazing to see and hear. As they got older, I’ll admit live, Geddy’s voice could sound a bit strained but they never lost their chops when it came to instrumentation.
My favorite RUSH album in the 2000’s!
These three guys are the best. They are so tight together. It's Insane.
BU2B is my favorite song on this album. But I never hear about it. During the album’s tour they didn’t even play it. 🤷🏻♂️ But so many great songs…. Wreckers, Headlong Flight and the Garden…… aw just do them all!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁😁
You have only scratched the surface of your RUSH journey. Enjoy the entire RUSH ride. You will not be disappointed
I am an old Rush fan, I saw them live five or six times between 1977 and 1984 but, for me, Clockwork Angels is the best album they ever made.

Yes, the best album! Even Geddy said in an interview that Clockwork Angels was their best work.
There are some real bangers on this magnum opus of a Rush album.
🏆Wonderful!! You must react to "Headlong Flight" before leaving this album. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Headlong Flight is in my Rush top 10.
Great reaction! Its wonderful to see a nascent observation of Rush... Can someone show Venice the secret handshake?
I am glad that you enjoyed the songs. Well done!
Cool reaction; a new relisten for me, what a cool track!
The story written in the songs, which compromise the entire album, is also told in the book "Clockwork Angels" written by Sci-Fi author and Rush fan, Kevin J. Anderson. If you want a more detailed telling of the story, I suggest picking up that book, it's a great read.
That fill that Neil does near the end of the breakdown in Caravan blew my mind. Those descending hertas and then the madman goes back up the toms. I've been playing drums for 13 years and that's still difficult to do for me.
These guys are one of the greatest bands ever. Period.
My favorite Rush album, their final gift to us. Also, you are unbelievably beautiful!
Concept album. Read about it in comments. Headlong Flight and The Garden are must hear! 40:05
Um, Neil is Canadian, he spent some time in England but it did not work out for him so he came back to the St. Catherines area (Southern Ontario) and was working for his father before joining Rush. He replaced the original drummer, John Rutsey, who could not carry on due to various health issues.
I freaking love your RUSH reactions
If you look at the clock on clockwork angels it's set to 9:12. 9:12 at night in military time is 2112. Also 9/12 on the calendar is September 12th with is Neil's birthday. And another interesting thing is that at the end of the first side of the album 2112 the lyrics say "Attention All Planets of The solar federation" 7 words ×3=21. "We have Assumed Control"4 words ×3=12. Witch equals = 2112.
I’m glad I found your channel
Rush in 2012, "So we have like a hundred new ideas...which ones should we use for the new album? Every. Last. One."
The laundry machines have been a stage staple since I think the "Vapor Trails" tour back around 2002 or 2003. Maybe earlier.
Clockwork angels is a story. Enjoy your RUSH journey
Actually Neil is from Canada what he's talkin about is when he moved to England to try to make it before he joined Rush

Aaahhh okay thank you so much for the explanation 😁👍
Great reaction
They combined the two songs, I think, so you just watch both twice… :)
Wow. It's been years since I heard these. They played them on their Time Machine tour, which was right before they released the album. The overall album was never fully my cup of Rush tea. However, I love The Wreckers and The Garden, and would say I like these two as well.
I gotta say that you were interesting! You was on it! Rush On!
Clockwork Angels was the perfect ending to an epic career.
I still have a theory that Alex’s mic was never actually turned on. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That’s a joke everyone.
Watch the live versions from the clock work Angels Tour
Good luck keep it up
I think you got a run on from the Caravan Lyrrics... you were reading BU2B after Caravan
I prefer their older songs :) my recommendation rush - between the wheels

Yes. I don't even know if I ever made it through this album all the way. For some reason, they lost their sense of melody after BONES. Everything sounds like Geddy's just rambling lines with 'pitch', searching for a song that never emerges. There's nothing you'd sing along with, no 'natural' melody that goes with the words. I don't know that I'd even call them LYRICS. Actually , there's some of their earlier stuff that for me sounded the same way, but by the end of the song, they got it all together. The later stuff never does that. The MUSIC isn't bad, but with the words, it's a struggle. Hope you get what I'm trying to say.

Clockwork Angels live they bring the strings you are hearing
BU2B is fun
But I love your RUSH reactions. Keep it going.
Thanks for the vid. Geddy's voice sounds regal during "Caravan"
You're too young to be so sensitive with Rush. Made me cry!
School is important
Do Caress of Steel or Grace Under Pressure.. full album, 45 minutes of your time, will have a lifetime...
Wow. You went from Moving Pictures to Clockwork Angels. You skipped over like 8 albums! And no 2112 or Hemispheres! When your schedule allows it you need to go back and listen to all those because you've BARELY scratched the surface of Rush.
Caravan and bu2b are different lyrics. They are two different songs. You somehow combined the two songs. But they are two different songs.
Most every song has lyrics that are repeated several times over. It's usually called the chorus. In this case it's not a chorus but I can't understand why you are obsessing over a few repeated lines. Why not listen to the entire album to get some context? You would also find answers to your puzzlements between the covers of the Clockwork Angels graphic novel (it's quite a good read).
You have such a musical ear...who the hell are you?

@@venicerealm Well, in that case Rush has a song called "The Body Electric" that speaks of "trying to change the program...crack the code."
Ha ha, she thought Caravan and BU2B were the same song. Tip: Caravan ends at I can't stop thinking big! and BU2B starts at I was Brought Up to Believe! 😑
Derp 🤣
