I like that animal control referred the people to Hope for Paws when they knew they couldn't help. It would have been so easy for them to say no and just hang up.

That traffic is insane! Makes you wonder how the poor cat could survive there. Now he's ready for a forever home 😀

For just this once, I am grateful for LA gridlock, it was the purrfect time to get Squid up and out of there😂 I am sure this precious guy is on his way to a loving forever home. Each video, I learn something new: sardine oil! Thank you Eldad and everyone who helped save Squid.💕

@@Thorium_Th in most cities they are more for animals that endanger the public somehow. Like animal control might capture a vicious dog. They also will rescue animals as well, but there are usually way too few officers to go around and way too little shelter space to house all of the animals that need rescue. Hence why there are so many nonprofit rescue groups in the US. Rural areas usually have few if any of these things, and so stray animals really suffer out there.

I guess their job is to only pick up animals they can catch easily or if someone has an animal they can go pick up. There should be more rescue organizations that do exactly as Hope For Paws does.

Animal Control has our deep respect here. Their directing the Canadian 🇨🇦 tourists to HFPs was AWESOME 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I love this! Squid looks exactly like the kitten we adopted from our local animal control, and he acts like her, too! I hope he gets adopted soon! He looks precious!

I'm so happy that he was rescued and was tame enough to get fostered/adopted instead being released back onto the streets. What a beautiful boy. Looks exactly like out Leia. We have 11 cats that we have wither turned into house pets or who use the garage that we concerted into a "cat hotel", with insulated shelters...food and water. Thank you for all you do for the animals. I have learned so much from your cat rescues. Things that I now use when we have to trap a feral cat to take it to the vet. You guys are helping animals all over the world with your videos.

What got my attention is the awful traffic. Thankfully, I live in a small town in the Midwest where traffic is light and slow paced. I can't imagine driving in that jammed up mess in LA.

We all had our eyes on the trap door. Eldad, you're awesome!

I have a black cat who is basically living on my porch. He let's me pet him when he's eating, so not feral, but won't come inside. I have another black cat who doesn't seem bothered by him & his ear is tipped, which means he/she is fixed with 1st shots. I'm going to try to get him in the carrier tonight. I'll try the oil.

I was grew up in Southern CA moved 12 years ago don’t miss the traffic at all But I do miss the ocean

Well...although Squid ended up on a crazy busy freeway, and was running up, down n around frightened to death, it was his lucky day. Lucky because, first two kind Canadian tourists spotted him, then Animal Control told them to better contact HFP, and finally, guess which superhero came driving down the freeway??? ELDAAAD!!! The coolest, smoothest animal rescuer in the west.. Bless you Eldad!!! May you be rewarded with a happy, healthy and long life for never giving up on all these poor, helpless creatures. 🙏💙

Sometimes people think animal control are totally cold and uncaring, but obviously not if they took the time to refer the tourists to Hope for Paws. As a Canadian from a small city, I'm impressed that they noticed the sweet kitty. I would have been slightly panicked by all those lanes of traffic and had tunnel vision. Good job, fellow Canucks 🥰 And as always, good job Eldad!

I am so over it!

He looks just like the kitten that I’ve been taking care of temporarily. Long story short, kitten appeared out of nowhere but is super friendly and loves to suckle when in a lap. Thought about taking it to a shelter, but due to friendliness, refrained from doing so until I’m able to find an owner. So far no owner, but mom is trying to see if someone wants a kitten. Giving her til next Tuesday to see about it, but if nothing comes up, taking her to a shelter where it’s no kill and where I know she’ll be purrfectly safe. For now, doing everything I can to make sure she is happy and healthy.

Well, this Canadian lives in eastern Ontario, and has been watching your rescues for years. I am sure there are many Canadians that know about Hope For Paws.

It seems obvious that cat was not feral. That means someone had him as a pet and then just dumped him in a very dangerous place. Too bad the same can't be done to the former owner. Thank you Eldad!

My beloved black persian cat died a couple of months ago, Squid reminds me of my Blacky! Miss him every day. Glad Squid was saved, or else he would definitely end up getting hit by a car. Hope Squid will find his forever home soon! ❤️

When his little head showed up from the sewer, it broke my heart. Poor baby. Then again when he got trapped and started panicking. I don't understand how people can not feel sorry for animals. They are so innocent and so defenseless. Most people suck and that's why the streets are full of animals that should not be there all alone!
