I remember the 57 was for sale at a Yank import caryard on Belmore Rd Riverwood in early 80's, only that I had just bought a Sandman I would of loved to buy it.

It’s now February 2024. Where’s the 57 now I wonder? Still incomplete? A very memorable car.

I met Val a few back not far from home he had Shake Rattle n Roll with him at the time ...a very cool down to earth bloke ....he was telling me a bit about the cars and the state they were in ....I remember shake rattle and roll when it turned up at my block of flats back in Canley Vale about 83/84 with a young kid who just bought it ....there was also one of the Mad Max pursuit cars on Cabramatta road on stands with its diff out ...never new what happened to that one ....there were so many cool cars back in the 80s driven nearly everyday ...never see them now ....A LH torana with a LS1 ...not my style ...an XY with a Barra Motor ....NO Thanks ....an original XB GT Coupe or a 2 Door HQ Monaro with a 350 is the way to go

Big Bopper XB & March Hare XA were crushed.😪😪😪😪. So that might have been Max's Yellow Interceptor ???? I heard a story that Max's original Yellow Interceptor was spotted in a Maroubra backyard in the 80s ???? Maybe the same car ??? Wonder if it will ever turn up ????? Or if it has gone for ever ????

The same goes for the street machine prize cars …..you do t see or here much about them either…..I’ve yells terra Monaro a few times in car yards and had the Castrol Coupe besides me at the lights app a week after it was won ….see the Alleycat van in Homebush ….a couple other ones here and there but that was back in the late 80 s and early 90 s ……now a VT commodore is known as old school muscle …..go figure

Paul Vella originally built the 57 to the stage it was in the movie and sold to the film company around 1981/2

Will 57 Chev (I mean) Blown 57 Tudor & Rammer be at ROEF 2022 at Cobar ? And hopefully Fox.1 as well. But I heard the Challenger needs a fair bit of work done to be able to make it.🤞🤞🤞. And found out the location of the burnout from last race was filmed. Goin up this weekend to get some pics.

Did Val tell you what size the motor was?? would really love to see all the original specs. Heard it was a 454 but could never be certain.

now the car is just sitting there because he does not have the money to fix back up and have it looking like this car check out the link? kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJ9t1c2totzYYNI.html also there's a 2 door 1957 chev black and gold or brass sides in sunshine Melbourne, got a chance to look at the car collection and wow this car is totaly like mint and same with the other cars XY GT ho in blue and also a black XY GT as well and the 57, i think it has a big block in it and under the bonnet supercharger, with around 850 HP approx / powerglide as well with 3.5 high stall as well? The car from the movie is not as fast as they say it is full stop, just a motor with a blower, but not built for hp thats all, other wise based on engine size and blower size it would have around 1,500 hp which we all know its not that much at all, its basically a movie car, just like mad max's movie its all show but no go?
