Running an ULTRA in storm Antoni! | Round the Rock Jersey Ultra Marathon RACE DAY | Run4Adventure
Round the Rock Jersey Ultra Marathon. Race weekend was here and we had arrived on the stunning island of Jersey to take on Round the Rock. The Ultra marathon route is 48 miles in length and you get to run all the way around the beautiful island on a big mix of terrain. Unfortunately, the weather gods weren't on our side when we set off and storm Antoni was in full swing, so let's just say, conditions were interesting!
Thanks for watching, we'll see you in the next video and as always - stay safe and keep on running!

Thanks for coming over both, realy enjoyed the video, I smiled watching the whole thing! Sorry about the weather, but thanks for representing what a beautiful island we have and an amazing race we have here! Hope to meet you both again sometime..
Another fabulous adventure! Lovely to see Liga running so strongly too - go Liga! 🏃♀️💪
Amazing effort guys in such tricky weather conditions. The island looked beautiful. Jim Bergerac would be proud of you both!👏🏼

Thanks Tony 👍 I really hope we made Jim proud! 😂
What a grand route and video. You two are amazing 😅
What a fun intro!
What an amazing race! But what impressed me most was the quads on that ginger lad, he didn't climb the hills every time he put his foot down he pressed the earth down 😮

No worries, thanks for watching 👍😊
Jersey and all the Channel Islands are beautiful. Such a shame the storm didn’t show those glorious beaches and blue sea to their best, but as ever your video put a real upbeat on the day and showed an amazing race. I agree with all the comments that volunteers on these events to Marshall and crew CPs are so special and I try to thank every one I see. Great running Loyd and Liga
Thanks for this! Lovely video and I saw myself too!

Great filming. Well done both! I was part of this race - it was an absolute challenge made the more difficult with the weather. It’s a beautiful island and great trails. Thanks to all the marshals and the volunteers- so positive and supportive!

Fantastic effort from you both 👊🏻. Thanks for taking us with you and for the interesting facts....... 👌🏻
Congrats you two, great work 🎉💪
Well done guys cracking effort!
Looks like a great race! Something quite satisfying about going the whole way around an island, even in those conditions!!
Sold. I’ll be signing up for 2024, I love Jersey and run looks like great fun. Thanks for another great race review.
Wow… that really did look tough.. well done to you both!
Fabulous run and filming Loyd and Liga 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♀️☔️💨
Great video! It was a real battle that day. I was excited to meet you both in front of the shop picking up the race pack, and thanks for the encouragement on my go at the marathon distance. The wind during the long stretch along Saint Ouen’s was draining for me, but completed it alright! More impressive: my Dad did too despite his head meeting a branch towards the beginning. Maybe next year the full loop.
Great effort from you and Liga. Big high five for the both of you 🖐️🤙💚🔥
Well done to you both. Hope you enjoyed running around our little island. 🏃🏻♂️🎉🥳🏅
Looked like a very windy but fun day out! Cracking vid - well done to you both.

Well done Liga and Loyd, that's a really tight cut off but you guys bossed it!!
Blooming awesome, well done Liga in hauling Loyd around that course.. 😂😂 Serious respect to you both in those conditions. 👍👍
Truly inspired. I want to do this.
Awesome video as always! Maybe try coming to Mauritius one day we have some cool race like the Dodo trail, Royal Raid and some cool tracks
Such a great race. Thankfully it was 30 degrees and glorious blue skys the year I did it but great video as always. ❤
Great video Loyd

Another great running video. Thank you for sharing. As you like coastal paths you should consider the Hardmoors 60 in mid September one year. Its normally better weather than you had in Jersey. Hope to see you in Chamonix.

I have looked at the Hardmoors races several times, I'll definitely get along to one eventually Mick 👍 We're holding a shake out run on the Wednesday of UTMB at 9am. We are meeting at the Church in the centre of town by the UTMB start/finish line, it would be great to have you join us 🏃♂️🏃♀️

Awesome video, I felt like I was there too!! That’s a nice looking jacket, which one is it?
great race guys, super well done. will you let us know how you got on with the nike shoes in a later video? cheers.
What's the jacket Liga is wearing? Looks good might pick one up for the wife. Great video once again Loyd
Well done to both .As you seem to be on your own quite a lot, was it easy to navigate?
Did your waterproof jacket not stay dry under?
@Run4Adventure
11 ай бұрын
It's a great running waterproof jacket but nothing is going to keep you completely dry in those conditions. Obviously you'll also sweat inside the jacket because your running witj a jacket on 👍
How did the nikes hold up?

Typical Normandy kind of weather. Don't know why you expected sunshine.....

It was more hoping than expecting! Also, I'd seen footage from last year's race and it was beautiful blue sky's and sunshine ☀️
Am i the only one who thinks that it is stupid to give names to a few days of bad weather ? Is there something else behind this european trend ? I am asking this because it is a fact that the uk gov, during covid, was using advice from behavioural psychologists to create their communication strategy and instill to the public the messages the gov wanted. So i am wondering if there is more to this trend....
@atleastIdietrying

Well it has always been that way for as long as I can remember. There is a long list of names in a particular order that are given to every stormfront or whatever. Male and female. As a behavioral psychologist I can’t see any hidden meaning behind this. But then again… who knows.

@@atleastIdietrying It has been like that, as long as i can remember, in the us mostly, for seasonal INTENSE WITH BIG DAMAGE POTENTIAL phenoma, like hurricanes. This was not the case for milder more or less random storms.
Congratulations Liga and Loyd, excellent race. Let's goooo to the finish line. Like to Run4adventure. A nice monday for everyone. ⛰️🏃⛰️
