I am enjoying the simplicity atm. Just grind. I need 135k to buy new BIS gear but the best ironman money maker is 3k gp/h. Time to grind

It took me a long time to get this one out. I wanted to make the time traveller much better than it was. In 2020 I rebooted the series and recorded up to mid 2002 but accidently deleted 2002 footage. Recovery corrupted it. So yeah, 3rd time the charm.

Great concept and start to a series :). I wanted to point out that you would more than likely require a higher smithing level than 86 in order to make addy platelegs, as the game shipped with a different smithing table, which was in the game untill an update in may of 2001, (Source: For example smithing/rework page on the rsc wiki. KZread doesn't let me post the link in a comment). Will be following the series closely, keep it up.

For years I have fantasized about an impossible by release private server that would start on the earliest available cache of rsc and slowly update to current osrs. this plugin brings me a little bit closer to re-experiencing that, thank you

I was actually considering making a chronological hcim this year to see what year it would stay alive until, but with the winter summit around the corner seems like they may add a new official game mode this year if not multiple. Something like a hardcore bronzeman or hardcore main if they release those like mentioned in their yearly survey could potentially work better as there was around a decade long time where the grand exchange existed and was a big part of the game prior to all of the ironman modes.

You can always try a Chrono ironman. The first year all takes place in f2p. No need to bond up :] I don't think jagex will be able to make a game mode playing in the past. Too difficult to create, and many existing content such as drop tables got updated multilevel times. I think that playing chronologically will always be on your own volition and not officially

I’m not sure I quite understand the “Chronological” thing. Is it in real time? Does that mean if you start your journey on whatever day RS opened in the early 2000’s that you wouldn’t be able to play today’s content until like 2048~ (If we assume it launched 1/1/2000) Might be easier this way: If you started on launch, would you not be able to access year 1 content until the account had been live for a year?

Delrith is in an instance now and he was way more powerful back then. He wasn’t exceptionally strong but he definitely had more then like 5-10 hp

I'm playing one game update at a time, not 1 month at a time like my previous series. At first I wanted to have a list of every game update out of which you can choose, but that would make the drop down unnecessarily long. General Rules: 1. Do not play in yet to exist areas 2. Do not interact with yet to exist NPC and items 3. Have fun before moving on to Optional additional optional rules: Complete every quest Defeat the strongest NPC Equip BIS gear

What's your thoughts on update after update, straying further from "Oldschool" to the point there's no more Old in Oldschool? For example, they added new content being Zeah and Kourend favor for people to try for a few years. Then they recently remove the favor people earned for 10-20 hours, to never have to do again, but now it's as if it existed for no reason. Only to be replaced by a 5 minute quest referencing other games and media... it seems like this game is being targeted to ipad children now. Barbarian village? Infinite fire in f2p for 99 cooking/fishing ever since mobile came out. Thieving skill itself? Ruin anything with coins and mess up so bad there's a max cash dupe from it. Quests? Love your guides, hate the content. Trading system? Forced grand exchange update after 5 failed polls. Fixing current skills? Nah let's pretend we're working on a new one that was a joke from over a decade ago. Does anyone see what I mean?

Maybe the idea behind the shield arrav quest: you need to attract new players to the game by asking friends to join the game because of the quest.
