That was fun. I feel like I'm very lucky to catch you now because I can tell you are developing some things from the signal chain and playing technique to the way you describe them and their roles for your sounds / gigs, I was so afraid to do any of this kind of content early on and I still am. I would love to chat sometime to share some things I've learned and help see this channel grow (at least for effects n stuff, I haven't checked your other videos but assumed it was still music related). You sound good and are going to keep expanding - hit me up anytime if you'd like to discuss sounds n effects or music in general, excited to see where you take things. If you haven't tried it yet I would recommend putting delay effects and even phasers "between" gain stages if you are stacking pedals. Sometimes if I have a phaser before Dirt it's too subtle and after dirt it's too intense, I've found some nice effect combinations when the phaser or echo is between a tube screamer and an ocd for example, things that will continue to be responsive to playing dynamics but have a way of gluing the modulation sound into the dirt layers in a way that feels more natural to me. Many exceptions of course.. but gotta try stuff. Sorry for rambling but I highly recommend using the wah for very slow sweeps into a bit of dirt and delay, for ethereal phasey sounds - Kevin Cadogan did that a lot on the first third eye blind record, songs like "I want you" uses it a lot, so pretty. Cheers!

Thanks for the kind words! I'll have to try putting effects between gain stages some time, sounds like it would yield some interesting results. I'm a huge fan of Kevin Cadogan's guitar work on that first album, so much interesting stuff.
