The RunCam 2 was a great camera back in the day. Good to see they made an updated modern version of that form factor.

Kinda wish RunCam would start making slightly higher end cameras. 4K 60fps is the standard now.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying how no one seems to really be willing to compete with GoPro, except for DJI and Insta360 who then just charge the same high prices.

Gyroflow looked the best in the bike footage. Vibrations definitely mess up the gyro data.

The footage looks almost the same as the Thumb Pro

I think the Thumb Pro seems a better fit for FPV. About the same price and image quality. The thumb seems to be a better form factor. Just my 2 cents. I am using this on a Quad. Anybody having issues with the video Stopping? Thought the 4K was to much, cut back to 2.7K @ 60 FPS Same thing. I am using a Gigastone 64 Gig A1 V30 Micro Card, Thiyed swapping with another brand Same thing. Thanks in advance Ben Herr

nice review. I got one of these cameras as soon as it came out and I already designed a mount for it in TPU and used it once and it worked pretty well. I'll share it online once I perfect it.

That time of year to think about updating action cameras!

I’ve used the Runcam products for years for a lot of my videos. They are fantastic cameras for the money. As you said they are not a GoPro regarding higher image quality but if you want a camera that your not hundreds of dollars in attached to the front of your rc airframe runcam is the next best thing. Great review 👍

Awesome video! Do you know if it's possible to extend the camera module cable? (I think it's called coaxial cable). I want to install a 15 or 20cm

I got the RunCam thumb and a few wasp cameras, overall pretty good. No complaints regarding RunCam products. This form factor is more useful on a fixed wing, an RC car, or a motorcycle helmet, etc. Has anyone out there had a successful experience utilizing this on a quad, just curious, aside from Alberts test footage. Great Review/intro.

The WASP HD camera is okay until you compare it with something like the Nebula pro..

For $100 not bad, image looks OK, has an internal battery, SD card, manual image settings, and gyro data 👍Great review and honest thoughts about the gyro quality. Image does look similar to the Runcam Thumb W.

using my runcam 6...its videos have black bars on either side...and not full screen.. any idea why its videos are not full screen?

I think you're in 4:3 mode in the settings. Change it to 16:9 mode.

For my my requirements the image quality is sufficient. Reasonably priced. Good form factor for 4x4 rc Machete. 😎

I thought it would be a lot heavier but 49g isn't bad. If you take the battery out and run it using USB its only 35g. Nice to see Runcam still making cameras. I thought the fpv footage was super nice, not gopro quality but definitely a step up from analog lol
