I cannot stop watching this channel. Just got back from Costco tonight and purchased two wines you mention in another video and taking notes for this video. You are awesome!

Found the 2018 Jadot at Costco yesterday for $16.99. Tasted it last night and it didn’t disappoint. Fantastic.

I love Peter so much, his voice is great and he’s so insightful

I think this is the first time I actually have the wine y’all are reviewing in my cellar already!

Is 8 to 10 bottles each week considered too much savoring?

I did not run but drove to the big Spec’s near downtown Houston and got two of the Jadot for the same price. Thanks for the recommendation.

My comment is about a year too late, but tonight I picked up a bottle of the 2018 Louis Jadot Bourgogne based on this video review and I'm really enjoying it! I've also had the Clos des Ursules before and loved it. Thanks for making these videos, they're fun to watch and very helpful.

I’d reeeally love to see a blind tasting with Champagne and Franciacorta at price points...I think it could really be a pleasurable and educational content for a new video!

So I’m a wine newbie (I’m only 23), my experience with wine is well just what you would expect. Having just watched your total wine suggestion video. What if you do it again but this time, the concept is building a budget cellar (100/120$) vs. peter’s suggestions within that budget. Also match a variety for variety.

I listened to jay and tried louis jadot chablis with sashimi. It was absolutely divine. Time to try other jadots.

That's absolutely crazy! My fred Meyer sells that Louis jadot for $13.99 with a club card, I had it a while back and loved it. Went out to that Fred Meyers and grabbed another bottle! One thing I love about these videos and the little gems you find. The fact that this level of quality in wine can be found at a 20$ bottle is crazy!

I have the chance to be in charge of one of the most beautifull cellar in Reims (Champagne region) in France, I'm pretty agree on your choices! Love Louis Jadot, and Ô boy This tasting looks amazing! You should try "Dommaine de la vougeraie" in Burgundy as well. The cuvée "Terre de famille" made out of pinot noir! it's excelent! See You ^^

I was all kinds of messed up until No.5. Because I'm a broke b*tch. I could NEVER afford a $100 bottle of wine. But I can TOTALLY convince myself to spend $15/20. Glad to know there are bottles that I can find, that I can afford, that wine pros can also appreciate. It helps me believe more in being able to LEARN about wine ad love it more and more!

anyway , the louis jadot i know, they do produce a wide range of burgundy red/white wine in a price list. louis jadot - they do have some very good entry level of burgundy wines in a affordable pricing, to lead you enter burgundy world.

Have you heard of chateau Jean Faure, its like 200m next to Cheval Blanc and has same Terrror as well as the same Vines it is apperantly very similar to Cheval Blanc but costs only around 40-50€, same with chateau Seguin wich is very similar to La mission Haut Brion and Pape Clement, would be interesting to know how close they are in terms of quality. So if you need an Idea for a tasting :D

Great tasting. I had a Hautes Cotes de Nuits 2010 Jayer-Gilles at Alliance restaurant in Paris in 2020…..was absolutely gorgeous. As the vintages get hotter HCDN just gets better. 👌

Where I live, they sell Boone's Farm and it's under $5 per bottle. After the 3rd bottle, you can't tell the difference between it and a $500 bottle.

제가 가성비 피노를 찾다가 정착한 와인이 루이자도 부르고뉴 피노입니다. 루이자도 피노 꾸벙 데 자코뱅도 있는데 이마트에서 2만원대 후반 가성비 정말 좋아요..꼭 드셔보세요~~ 제가 카멜로드 피노 맛나다고 하도 그래서 먹어보고실망했거든요스승님과 입맛 일치할 때마다 넘 희열입니다~~ㅋㅋ

Loved the video as always, will probably watch more than once. You guys motivate me to taste more wine. How do you guys improve tasting ability? I can only taste by myself and find it hard to learn and teach myself new scents and flavors.

I’ve always struggled with burgundy. I find that across all price points you can get garbage. Buy the producer. There’s been so many times I’ve spent $50+ on a burgundy with a fantastic nose that tastes like water. -Chris

Burgundy and France in general likes to be complicated. Yet they get surprised that in the USA we buy more Italian wine than French Wine.

lucien le moine is one of my favorite negociants in burgundy, to bad the bottle didnt live up to the qpr

They have that at my local store, my review: Perfect for its genre. A rich juicy village level Beaujolais without any unpleasant or puckering dryness or excessive tannins. Opens on strawberries, finish is cherries. Easy drinking but rich and juicy. Fabulous.

@@crazyoncoffee Yes it is. When you go for older vintage Beaujolais, you can get nice for not that much. I can get a cru for an affordable price.

루이자도 피노 여태 마셨던 와인 중에 제일 별로 였다고 생각했던 것 중 하나였는데 제 취향탓도 있겠지만 좋은 평가를 받으니 다시 마셔보고 싶긴 하네요

A.F그로는 개인적으로 좋아하는 파워풀하지 않고 하늘하늘하면서도 구조감은 가지고 있는 스타일이라 좋아하는데 가성비도 좋군요, 루이자도 부르고뉴 피노누아는 약간 까끌한 타닌감이 있어 개인적으로는 손이 잘 안가더라구요..

In my country, the 2018 louis jadot pinot noir cost $28 dollar. Is this still a decent buy or there are better options at this price point?

Louis Jadot is one of my favorites because of the price/quality ratio and, as you say, it is to take advantage of buying when we realize that a vintage is perfect. the one I don't like very much is the burgundy and chablis by Louis Latour

Great video as always. I really find value in your approach when you blind taste the wine and then give your thoughts on what the price should be relative to the quality of what you tasted. I don’t mind paying any price for a wine so long as I get back a fair value from the bottle.

피터할아버지 성향을 보면 바롤로나 BDM도 좋아하실 거 같은데... 시음적기 와인 구하기 어려워서 안다루시는 건가요?

혹시 그루지아 와인도 양조와 숙성 방식이 독특하다던데 모아서 리뷰해 주실 수 있나요?

전반적으로 부르고뉴 와인들이 기본은 한다고 볼 수 있을까요? 코로나 이전에는 종종 국경 건너가서 프랑스 슈퍼 가야만 구할 수 있는 비교적 저렴한(7,8유로부터 15유로 사이) 부르고뉴 와인들을 자주 사와서 마셨습니다. 말씀하신 Louis Jadot는 독일에서도 판매되기에 사왔는데, 위에 언급한 7,8유로 와인들도 복합적인 맛이 약간 부족한 적도 있었지만, 비슷한 느낌을 많이 받네요. 물론 포도가 피노 누아기에 당연히 비슷하다고 느껴지기야 하겠지만, 개인적으로 다른 여러 지방보다 부르고뉴에서 나오는 걸 마실 땐 적어도 크게 '너무 맛없다'라는 생각은 거의 못해본 것 같아요. ^^ 처음 이 채널 보기 시작할 떄부터 부르고뉴 특집 기다렸는데 빨리 2편 올라왔으면 좋겠네요!!! 가서 견학만 하고 사오지는 못한 Pommard도 있으면 좋을텐데... ㅎㅎ

루이자도 피노 저도 마셔봤는데 역시 가성비갑이었다고 생각했는데 피터선생님 와인킹님 좋은평가 저도반갑습니다 칠링하지않고 마시는걸로 추천해요 향과 복합미가 살아서 좋았어요~^^

안녕하세용 ㅎㅎ 저도 루이자도 피노를 얼마전에 살짝 칠링해서 마셨는데 (댓글보기전에!) 2019년도 빈티지였고 왕초초초보인 제가 느낀 바로는 피노를 많이 마셔보진 않았지만, 향은 되게 좋았는데 입에 머무는 맛은 뭔가 물맛이라고 해야할까요 .. 싱겁다? 이 표현이 맞을까 모르겠지만 ㅋㅋ 만족스럽진 않았어오 혹시 이게 칠링했기때문이었을까요?

루이자도 피노노아 34,800원에 와인앤모어에서 바로 구입 ㅎㅎㅎ 빈티지는 2018은 없어서 2019로

It sucks that Burgundy wines are so expensive. I wanted to try a Gevrey-Chambertin for the second time but at the price they go for now, it is crazy.
