A mere mortal, in this world on a journey to discover ourself and to live a test of good and bad. To see which element is raised above the other and to learn from our tests which are given by the universe from time to time. Religons came to teach humanity and not divide us, to understand humility and refrain from arrogance.

Three raindrops fall from the sky into the ocean. -The first raindrop revels in its own perfection and beauty and is proud of its own reality, yet it is totally oblivious to the existence of myriads of other raindrops and the glorious surrounding ocean. -The second raindrop is aware that it is but one of countless raindrops, yet it is preoccupied with their differences. While proud of its own perfection and beauty, it decides to accept, acknowledge and even tolerate the differences among raindrops for the good of the ocean. -The third raindrop simply sees itself as one great magnificent ocean. Rumi ---------------------------------------- Alas, humanity is still playing catch up with the second raindrop when it can reach the station of the third in a blink of an eye.

Rumi was a grand master theologian and a scholar for most of his life. He was nearly 40 when he met the wild dervish named Shams who transformed his life. Until then he led a quiet, disciplined life of an orthodox religious figure from an elite family who was an incredibly theologian with huge followers. He was not a Sufi.

It takes an enlightened person to recognize the source of enlightenment. Poor those who claim Persian Rumi with his Persian language writings, Afghani, Turk, or even Arab!!! The influence of Zoroastrian mysticism on all religions coming after Zaratushtra is confirmed by many researchers, often opposition. Persia was obviously much larger long ago, hence, today's political borders didn't n don't work. But Rumi's education, the city of Tabriz in today Azerbaijan in Iran, where he met his Teacher Shams of Tabriz, and his huge work of poetry n writings in Parisian language/ Farsi, all are proof of his nationality n origins. Poor those who instead of learning from his Oneness of everyone n everything, insist to own Rumi, as their trophy!!! Find yourself little ppl, find out how great you are, find you true self.

I wish you all understand that there are a lot of rumi in the Middle East that never get chance to be recognised just because they are Muslim. Now we hear some one uses the translation for their own benefit . He was born in balkh ( Afghanistn). His real name is Mawlana Mohammed Jalaluden Balkhi , since he looked like Italian they nick named him Rumi

Sufi saints are revered by hindus as Sufism has taken from Islam and Hinduism. In fact more Hindus by its doctrine of polytheism follow Sufi saints than Muslims. The origin of Sufism in history was part of the Bhakti( devotional) movement.

Please kindly check your facts before talking about Rumi and who he is. Here is who he is in his own words, why then do you change and lie to people? Only Breath Not Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu Buddhist, sufi, or zen. Not any religion or cultural system. I am not from the East or the West, not out of the ocean or up from the ground, not natural or ethereal, not composed of elements at all. I do not exist, am not an entity in this world or in the next, did not descend from Adam and Eve or any origin story. My place is placeless, a trace of the traceless. Neither body or soul. I belong to the beloved, have seen the two worlds as one and that one call to and know,
