Hey Tom, Ive used mass scan to get open ports, then run nmap against that list. It doesn't necessarily do all that rumble does, but its quick and open sourced and does the job. Rumble looks like a great program for doing O boarding, and has a great looking ui.

Thanks for the video Tom. Appears the self hosted is only for Enterprise license :-( .Anyone compared Rumble to LanSweeper yet??? I'm going to give it a go I think, as I have multiple vlans and some which are routed on the firewall and other routed on a layer 3 switch. May even install on a vlan routed on the firewall so I can control what it will look at easily. I've been using PHPIpam for a few years to keep track of IP addresses at home (yeah I know, but with all the IoT, LAB and normal servers etc it jus makes it so easy to keep track especially with IPv6 too).

Hi Lawrence, great videos, long time subscriber. Any chance you can give us a run down on available options for 10Gbps home firewalls? In Europe 10Gbps is offered more and more by ISP's and price really isn't that horrible (around 50 euros a month). Pfsense and UDM Pro seem to be the main options people have but I would love to see what else is on offer :)

To start, you don't need to be an MSP to even just try it. Next, data stays in the US, not Canada. Canada is fine.. but still, why the need. Lastly, better 1st run metrics that go way beyond Auvik. Auvik does very decent network discovery, and fast. That said, easy to understand metrics and labelling is not there strong point. Last thought, just from a financial point of view: product cost, recurring costs and built in features, Rumble looks superior. Now it's time to run it 🤣

Our discovery scans take a long time to run (using a different product).. like 12-24 hours .. seems like a long time but I don't have something else to compare to. With that said I know the scan config was poorly designed, so I will be making some changes and hopefully that will improve things.

Any network discovery tool must be trusted by all security systems on your network because its behavior is very similar to a malicious software trying to find a vulnerability to exploit. This means that all your firewalls, IPS/IDS, antivirus, etc. have to let the discovery tool do its jobs while still blocking the scanning patterns from any other device on the network.

Yes...Buffer began using the phrase "Let's get ready to rumble!" in 1984. By 1992, he acquired a federal trademark for the phrase. I am sure it’s more to limit other big venues from using the phrase without him, if Lawrence gets a legal notice, then he knows he’s made the big time.
