Nikhil doubts that Rukmini has abducted Shyama. She acts innocent, and fiercely denies the accusation. Nikhil doesn't trust Rukmini, so he looks through her home but can't find Shyama. Afterwards, Rukmini and Radharani celebrate their triumph. As the cops wrap up their sweeping of the neighborhood, Nikhil agitatedly looks for Shyama. In another scene, Rukmini orders the guys she hired to drag Shyama to an abandoned house so she may torment her even more.

The protagonist of the tale is a dark-skinned girl named Shyama, who aims to eradicate the shame associated with color. She marries Nikhil and experiences prejudice because of her skin tone. She embarks on a quest to forge her own identity as a gifted vocalist. Shyama thinks her skin tone is similar to Lord Krishna's. Following her marriage, she pursues a career in music, which completely transforms her life. Although Shyama's mother-in-law despises her, over the course of a few years, she grows to love her and even lets her sing.
