Fun fact: Kubo initially planned for Rukia to be a fairy-like companion for Ichigo in the early days of designing bleach. Although the idea was dropped, elements of that idea were used for her bankai appearance

for the people who doesn’t understand what’s actually rukia became after her transformation I can explain. she became the Japanese mythical creature called shirayuki hime which is the white princess of the frozen land who has the power to froze everything.

The difference between Toshiro and Rukia's Zanpakuto is pretty "simple". Hyôrinmaru is the strongest ice zanpakuto, in opposite of Yamamoto's. On the other hand, Sode no shirayuki is a Freezing zanpakuto, manipulating temperature, which create ice but she don't really control the ice itself.

@@nugrahadwianggoro She could only activate it at max, for 4 seconds, since that's how long she can take absolute zero without injury. She could have kept her shikai going for no doubt significantly longer, but wanted to end As Nodt quickly. Both for revenge, and just to not waste energy.
