RUGGEDMADE log tongs put to the test!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this adventure at the wood yard I am going to test out my new set of duel log tongs made by rugged made. They seem heavy duty but we will find out if they can lift these massive red oak logs. How much do you think these 12’ red oaks weigh? Please comment! Don’t forget to subscribe to my growing you tube channel!

Thanks for the inspiration! I have a JD210C and just got the Vevor 3300lb tongs. Its impressive how much work you're doing and the JD makes it look effortless!!

Thanks! Ya if I didn’t have the 410 don’t know how I would move big logs. Definitely a back saver!

Amazing little device. I bought an antique set of hand held tongs from an antique store. I use them for picking up one end of felled trees that I cut (6-8"diameter, or so) and drag them around my property. It makes it so much easier to move them by hand. Best 20 bucks I've ever spent. Great video. Maybe a big set of forged tongs would be sturdier for those beast logs?

Thanks for watching Tim! They are very handy even tho I broke the joiner on one set but they still work! I definitely spent more than 20$ on them but I truly put them to the test. If I could find a forged set I would love to test them the same

@@Aaronzap15 "timberking" makes forged units and they are American made!. I've been thinking about buying a set but they are pricey and I'm not a pro. Many people say they are best if you have 2 people on the job because they often fall off.. I don't know.

Aaron looks like they work pretty good for a while. My guess is real heavy. Take care, Ben.

I bet that log has to be around 250 per ft so probably 3000 my guess! My 410 is an 83 going strong! Thanks for watching!

Would save time if you used two of these.

Right with you on that one . It would keep the log from twisting

Save even more time if the log is lower on 1 end than the other than you get the low end where you want it, lower it so it touches then move forward or backwards to get it where you want it before setting it down. If you want the easiest way of doing something ask the laziest man to do it and see how it is done!
