The most ironic thing is that World Rugby actually use the Farrell tackle on Esterhuizen as a textbook example video of an illegal shoulder charge🤣
Proud to say I have been refereed twice by the linesman who absolutely botched the Tuilagi/Ashton situation.
And what about 2011 World Cup Final ? The whole match is controversial !

Find it hilarious that there are still welsh fans trying to justify that first decision, despite the fact that the referee involved and the referees union all apologised and said he got it wrong. You would be fuming if that was given against you, not saying 'well they should have reacted faster'. I can look at that Farrell shoulder charge decision as an England fan and acknowledge we got away with one there, have some self respect and do the same.

@Luke Thomas No they wouldn’t. Because that completely changes the game. You can’t guarantee they would’ve scored any points if those tries were disallowed.

9:48 Cueto's foot was in-touch before he grounded the ball. End of.
EMG v SA in 2007 was clearly foot on the chalk before it rises up.
That ref who reffed that England wales game was the worst rugby ref I’ve ever seen. I was sure he was payed after that. He knew what he was doing
And no surprises Wayne Barnes features so often.
for the Italian win over Wales, the ref was talking to his bookie not the TMO for sure
@ 0.58 what was incorrect about the referee's ruling, couldn't work out what was wrong about it, thanks
The first try, Wales v England, should have seen sanctions for the ref. There was a clear advantage given by calling time on before England had got back into position.

As a Kiwi I felt sorry for England. Ref was completely against England clear as day. And the knock on from Wales in the same game was 100% crap call. He had no control of the ball dropping it forward regardless of it coming off his leg in any direction - he needed to have CONTROL of the ball. England hard done by. If Wales win the tournament it’ll be the most undeserved victory to date.

lol you didn't see the game. Wales dominated almost the whole game. And, for the ref, he apologized. Tell me how many ref recognize his mistake ? As a frenchman, I don't remember any ref apologized after stealing us a game. And we got stolen a lot of times aha. The latest is the final of the autumn nations cup. Even the English newspaper told England got helped by the ref. And Andrew Brace will referee the next crunch. Try to find a justice in here. There is no. So stop complaining.

One of the first things you're taught in rugby is to never turn your back if the opposition have a penalty. If you look at the first incident from a different angle, you'll see that the opposite wing is set, while the forwards are stood in the middle actually staring at Biggar, hence why Gauzere called time on. Then when you take into account the reaction of the English defence to Kieran Hardy's try in the second-half, the English were clearly under the impression in both instances that Wales were going to kick for goal. You can blame the referee all you want, but with England's ill-discipline, the first try could have been avoided so easily.
@RugbyManual
3 жыл бұрын
I just think England were hard done by as the referee told Farrell to have a word with England and only told Biggar that time was back on rather than letting England know. That being said I completely agree that it could’ve been easily avoided, the penalty Farrell gave away that led to the try was poor and ultimately poor discipline lost England the match.

@@matthewjefferson4037 Shafted? They got back to 24-24 and then conceded 16 points in the final quarter, none of which were due to poor refereeing decisions. Hardly shafted. And yes, while he admitted he got two decisions wrong, England aren't the first team and won't be the last to be the victim of 2 poor refereeing decisions.
The thing is the ball hits off LRZ leg and goes backwards then goes forwards from the hit off the leg so it shouldn't really be controversial.

Don't know why England fans are crying about the Welsh try. You can clearly see the French ref say time off to England while walking towards them 00:31 and than Dan Biggar kicks the ball at 00:48 that's 17 seconds to get ready. England should be blaming themselves for sleeping or expecting Dan Biggar to go for the 3 points that's why they were all huddled up.

England suck at the moment in rugby
I dunno in watching this it looks like the ref told Farrell time was back on. I don't think he has to then wait for England to get set up before restarting the play. Thats England's problem. Judging by farrells attitude, I'm being prejudicial here, I think he was taking his time after he was told by the ref his time to talk was up. Farrell had better learn to establish a relationship with the ref rather than always back chatting as its not working
@RugbyManual
3 жыл бұрын
The referee said to Farrell to have a word with his team and that time was off and then when the ref went back to Dan Biggar he told Biggar that the time was on. So England were under the impression that time was off and they could have water and Farrell could talk to them, it was definitely very poor refereeing. I do agree that Farrell needs to work on how he speaks to referees if he wants to be a better captain and up to the standard of someone like Sam Warburton.

The ref same time was on to Farrell at the beginning. Told them both time was then off. Farrell was clearly trying to play games with the amount of time they took to talk (they had 20 secs). England didn't get back in position waiting for the ref to put time on. Wales were ready and acted quickly. Farrell's attitude cost the try.
the 3 worst referees for me by far are Joubert, Barnes and Bevan... All 3 are from UK
What about the decision that screwed Scotland out of the 2015 World Cup against Australia? Was one of the most heartbreaking decisions I’ve ever experienced in any sports, Scotland had a real chance at getting through the next round as we would’ve gotten Argentina
So chuffed that South Africa beat England with 1 point in the RWC. Karma
