In terms of just history, nothing there can beat the Capuozzo try vs Wales. And it was a good try

@@crystallineentity *it was Padovani the scorer, Capuozzo the creator. Just like my favourite in Tom Wright & Jock Campbell the creators, Lalakai Foketi the finisher..

8:48 The Capuozzo Padovani try is just electric!
My favourite try of the year was the Chilean fly half against the USA Qualifying leg in Chile. It was torrential rain and the pitch was more a lake. He did awesome to score that try and that should’ve been included on this list. Go watch it. Even the very best of the top tier 1 nations, would’ve struggled in those conditions. He made it look like he was gliding through the whole USA team. Epic stuff

Yeah. Whereas England's (one-tackle broken) walk-in try against Japan (by Steward) is somehow deemed worthy. ??🤷♂??

You have missed Fernandez v USA (try of the year at World Rugby awards), Moodie vs Australia, Capuozzo 1st vs Australia was worthy the inclusion, Teddy Thomas in Barbarians vs NZ XV. NZ Maori scored some amazing tries and also Jalibert set up or score by himself a couple of brilliant ones vs Japan.
IMO: Best Team-based: Australia vs France or France vs Scotland (Moefana, not in the video) Best Solo: Capuozzo vs Wales or Fernandez vs USA (not in video)

@@karlosdeevs ireland v fiji wasn’t the only game ireland had this year, ireland scored some quality tries against NZ this year, they should’ve been included

@@eoghangittens2913 yh, agree but many of those came from close range or going wide.. apart from Henshaw’s team try in the 3rd test, the only other one that sticks out is Mack Hanson v SA.

Rugby beginner here. Why does a team kick the ball down field IF they already have pocession and the other team has 2 guys all the way down there and you dont ??

To gain territory as your team can chase the kick and be further in there half. Hope this helps

If you are slogging away in your own half, under pressure to retain possession everytime your guy gets tackled, then you are probably gonna be forced to give away a penalty soon enough. Which they will pop over the bar for easy points. Or worse, turn over the ball near your own try line. Playing the game in their territory gives you more room for error. Kinda the same reason NFL teams kick on 4th down -- the odds don't look good to run the ball right now, so lets shift the game as far into their territory as we can.

Wonderful tries there. I think both mpimpis tries were after a forward pass, but hey play to the whistle

Against England? That one should have been disallowed.
Maybe I missed one, but 10 minutes into an 11 minute video before we see a single try from Ireland? It was probably the most controversial try they scored that year as well. Our boys beat NZ in consecutive matches in their own back yard, scoring nine tries in three matches. None of those were worthy?
