I was at this match and it was a great match by Georgia and a nightmare for Ireland. Georgia deserved to win but the Irish defense at the 77th min held on.

i don't know who was worse in this world cup wales or ireland, georgia in all honesty should have won this game, argentina and france beat ireland easy. as for wales rubbish performance against canada and the loss to fiji was just terrible. im glad 2007 is so far away in the past, a nightmare to be forgotten.

In my opinion Ireland was worse because they gave absolutely nothing remarkable to celebrate . Welsh at least had a nice comeback Vs Canada after an horrible first half , ran riot Vs Japan and even if they lost Vs Fiji they managed to come from 3-25 down to be in front even if they ultimately lost . Ireland was just horrible Vs Georgia , insipid Vs Namibia , useless Vs France and frustrated Vs Argentina . A really crappy performance

1:11:25 The referee commenced play when there was a man injured in proximity to resumed play. The player or medical staff could have been injured by this reckless move, besides it being unfair to be a man fewer. Why was the referee in such a rush? Maybe he had ambition to see Ireland to win? I'm newer to rugby, but this seemed very odd from the four dozen or so matches I've seen.

I totally agree. Usually if a player is injured and the ball has gone out of play, the game stops and treatment is allowed. As you say, allowing play to go on was unfair to Georgia, they had a man down and Ireland made a break exactly where the No10 would have been. Without this it is very conceivable that Georgia, who dominated for much of the second half, would have won the match
