Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living outside the Philippines due to job assignment. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my KZread Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club president and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
WHAT IS THE GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others may actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
I have come to a point of trying to find a greater purpose in life, something beyond just being happy for a moment. Happiness in life is more meaningful if we choose to be useful, be honorable, be compassionate, and make a difference.

This is their reunion show... Innuendo, VE & Ruffedge were popular among school kids in the early 2000s...and these kids have grown up now... That's why you see singers like Alif Satar sing along with this group....it's their childhood song

The best comeback from them...the reaction of the crowd because of we miss them so much 😍
Acapella song/group was trending during this time. Ruffedge and VE were the top amongst those who tried to make their name doing acapella song. I wish Acapella make a comeback one day. It feels so good hearing voice harmony nync to each other.
The first ruffedge member that sing is Azan Addin, his brother is the member of Innuendo the one who did the falseto (the middle of 3 members) in the recent vid you reacted (belaian jiwa)
They used to be at their prime in 2001-2003 before they split..Cat Farish (the one with the rap part) formed a new band after that, n named The Fabulous Cat..this band was dissolved too after few years, n the rest of members (Ruffedge) were all involved with Islamic religious movement before they finally decided to reunite with Cat Farish few years back..this performance was the reunion of the band and most of the audience were all excited with this homecoming performance..Khayalan, Lemas, Tipah Tertipu were the reminder of how boy bands hip hop vibe ruled our music industry once..VE is just another example

The rap guy is Cat Farish. After Ruffedge made a very big impact in the industry, he becomes a well-known composer. He's composed a lot of songs for Malaysian singers, including Siti Nurhaliza and Dayang Nurfaizah. Not to mention that most of Ruffedge's composed by him too. One of my favourite songs that was composed by him are Dayang Sayang Kamu (Dayang Nurfaizah) and Rupanya Kita Serupa (Siti Nurhaliza - a jazz kind-of song). You should react to these songs.

People who cheer for this performance are those who missed them dearly. This stage was some sort of their comeback stage after years of not performing together. Even when I was watching this live back then, all sorts of memories come back.

Song Khayalan was originated fm a 80's Singapore musician band named Black Dog Bone..this one legendary song remake into Hip Hop & RNB..but this boy band Ruffedge are popular during 2000..they nvr make music aft tat due to the ultimate change of the music mainstream to digital..they split up and concentrate on each other careers...
