Had a ski crash few years back. Broken spine. They told me I would be lucky to walk with crutches. I was devastated, you know mountain man. Watched this video over and over. Worked my ass off to get my semi-paralyzed leg working and be able to ski again. Year after, it didn't work. Watched this video some more. Kept on going. I am skiing again now. So thank you

Kurt's injuries from this accident were beyond horrific. We only see here how his left leg had to be amputated at the knee, but the other injuries he suffered actually went FAR beyond that. His right anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament were torn, both his pelvis and his bladder were literally torn in half, seven of his vertebra were broken along with multiple ribs, both of his lungs collapsed, and he suffered a severe concussion. Remarkably, one year later, Kurt made a full recovery. No matter how bleak a situation might be, never EVER lose hope, miracles can and do happen every day. Kurt is proof of that.

The way they let him go through all he needs too and just stays by his side .... this video makes me weep its so incredibly beautiful

God I love this video. So often men are accused of being cold and not sharing their feelings, but you see plenty of emotion here... the frustration and anger, but the joy and excitement as well... and not just in Kurt, but in his friends and family surrounding him, taking joy in his successes with him... it's just not expressed the same way women express it. that doesn't make it wrong. Men support each other by being there when they are needed, by motivating and inspiring each other to overcome the problems, not by sitting there and wallowing in the problem and emotions until someone else comes along to solve it.

i first heard this song when i was 12 and at gymnastics practice it was only 3 weeks before i lost my leg due to a post op infection, i was shown the video a few days after my leg was amputated and i just felt like maybe gymnastics wasn’t over for me, it took a lot of hard work but i would watch this video nearly everyday to motivate me to keep going, i’m 17 now and have been doing competitive gymnastics for 3 years since my amputation and tbh i don’t know if would have been at this point without watching this video

I just love how they were with him thru every single thing. The whole process of getting a prosthetic leg. Doing physical therapy and everything. It just amazing to see.

When I was hospitalized ,cuz I've had an appendicitis surgery,my phone got smashed ,and I didn't have wi-fi .. :(.. But I got an MP3,and I was listening ALL the day to this song and to Nobody To Love,while trying to walk xD

This song brings up so many memories to me personally. I miss like hell those summers where we would drink beers, ride bikes, have fun, being "kids". Now I'm engaged my best friend is almost engaged. Everyone in our group is trying to figure out his path in life. Enjoy every moment with your buddies. You really don't know when would be the last time you guys see each other as a group. I miss like hell those good ol days. Money wouldn't be a problem but time is now. The freedom that comes with a bike and steep downhill, an open road or trail or a skater park is surreal. You'll never know that the true happiness was present in these moments. Take care of you guys.

I'm 50 next week, broke more bones than I can remember since riding a mogoose supergoose in the 80s then Hoffman bikes in the 90s to a £100 mogoose brawler now (just for beer runs) keep riding crew BMX RULES.

This video tugs at every single heartstring I have. And Ella has the voice of true fierce Goddess! And then you add the sickest beats in history and you have no clue why you are sitting here and bawling like a baby on this evening, despite of this song being 10 years old. It is the BEST!

Kurt & his mates, omg amazing. This song! It lands harder, me here with broken fixable ankle. Love to my epically supportive Parents and all those in recovery & their devoted care-givers! 🥰😘❤❤❤❤❤

4:10 Kurt is finally back on his bike - camera cuts to the birds flying free and then back to Kurt giving a big fat smile to the camera. Man that part always gets me!!! Best music video ever, at least the most powerful indeed!

I just got so pumped seeing that guy back on his bike! I was literally cheering and pumping my fists. I did the same ridiculously stupid thing when I was younger street riding with friends (riding arrogantly straight into the road). I got hit and the axle nut ripped a whole in my leg but I didn't lose it. This guys story makes me see how lucky I was. So happy to see him get back on his bike.
