Wow, that's a joy to watch. Ridden with the purpose it was made for, instead of just polishing it. 👍👍
I've watched this loads of times since I first found it a year ago and it never gets old ! - Still great to see (and more importantly, hear..) a 1930s legend being ridden like the manufacturer intended !! - There's no better word for this video than EXCELLENT..
Wow just wow beautiful bike
Watching this AGAIN !.. What a sound and what a great place to ride, the old girl cracks up with the tiniest push on the kickstart (very good even if she's already warm) and the popping on the overrun is fantastic - I absolutely love this bike !.. It's so good that I'm nearly welling up (and I'm not joking !..) Definitely my favourite KZread video of all time - You will never get one of the new-fangled electric hairdryers that are supposed to pass for bikes today to sound as good as this, no matter how hard you try.. I'm going to watch it again before I go..
BEAUTUIUL thank you
That's a handsome tool as my old mate would say. Good to see it doing what it was made for
Velocissima! ✌️🏍️
Wonderful John, Thanks for showing us. My Grandfather rode one in the 30’s. It brought a tear to my eye.
Brilliant ,great to see em being ridden 👌
Espectacular!!!
Wow What a nice bike, And great riding also, Loved the video.

So did you end up getting one ?
Boy does that bike shift, great video
What a great sound! Beautiful bike.
That's really were it's all about! I drive a 1927 Triumph also rigidly framed and monoshock Webb-forked. On very curvy and moderate steep roads it handles as light and direct as anything. Vintage bikes outweigh modern ones with the same displacement a lot and are far ahead in the ear and eye department. Never driven a modern bike so can't compare the handling (can't get used to plastic).
Love the popping when the throttle is closed. It's got some speed for an old girl
Excellent,, great bike, full hearts content
Just fantastic !..
What a sound! Love it.
I have the 1937 model! great bike ,and fast!
amazing riding & again an amazing rideable bike- Rudging is fun
Bloody hell: my late father’s Rudge Ulster was MUCH more tricky to start. It was a complete pig, with really good compression. But it was fabulous to ride, like you here. Did a few hill climbs on that lovely bike, before he moved it on, as he was pretty certain that I was going to have a serious crash on it one day. I think it was the only bike that scared him.
A very capable bike, great video too. Maybe I should get the 'Special' out of the garage!

Get your Special out of the garage and on the road where it needs to be.
Super, Klasse!!
Of course, as an old motorcyclist, I had heard of RUDGE in Germany, but what these motorcycles really mean and what they can do on the road, I realized only after producing a few days ago this film about a Rudge Special (1930). They really are incredibly good motorcycles.... kzread.info/dash/bejne/iWRovKuqopauqNY.html

In some of these shots you'd think it was at the TT.

It's the B3357 and B3212 near Two Bridges, Dartmoor.
It's almost powerful as like a goldie or a velo venom the compression looks too good
