I second that

I don't know what it is about this song. Listening to it I feel sad, depressed and alone but at the same time i feel happy, upbeat, at peace on the inside. I can finally move on from something that happened--part of me is gone but i am at peace. The sadness and somberness of it, the church, candles, lonely guy in the back seat. Getting dark out, a long drive home. So many emotions and feelings.

This song always reminds me of my dads passing last fall. Not the lyrics or anything, but the entire visual and emotional aesthetic you get from hearing this song and seeing its video. It reminds me so vividly of the sadness I felt and still feel, but a reminder of the sobering feeling I felt to make him proud of me. Its so insane that one small piece of art can have such a varying effect on the people who consume it

I recorded the whole entire Nevada on cassette. And man, it awesome. I even put the Nevada album cover and everything. It looks like something they would produce

A long time friend of mine just passed. I dedicate this song to him. RIP Harry.

Ruby haunt on a cloudy day can feel so tranquil. I find myself driving, walking, & skating through empty streets. I pass by hollow towns where the people look like ghosts through the fog. It’s almost as if there’s this haze that seeps into the living, making them feel empty inside. The clouds are gray with rain that gives resemblance to soot & ash. Sometimes in these moments I’ll get these tingles that rush through my body, beginning from my spine. I then get this slight hint of nostalgia through my senses that I can’t quite explain. Maybe it’s a feeling of freedom in my mind. Something that was abundant when I was a child, but has since been tampered with by my surroundings. Entering my twenties now…it can feel as if the happiness I experienced before is a distant dream. A dream that’s out of my reach but haunts me relentlessly. My present being stuck between two worlds, that of the past & the future. Perhaps I’m another passenger waiting for their train to come at this point. Lost. Drifting onward, doing everything I can to shine against the dying of the light

The home is almost all set. Now going to work daily. She's in school. Miss my mum alot, everyday.
