CobraAsset you are absolutely right!

While I have not always agreed with Mr. Rubio, I have always admired his decisiveness. When a crises is reached, such as the Gaza War or the ISIS genocide of Christians or the Boko Haram disregard for life, there is no time to be wishy washy and boy Mr. Rubio you say it like it is with supportive information. I praise your boldness at a time like this, not because I am Jewish, but because 5 generations of my family have been blessed with the opportunity to be Jewish in America. and I look forward to my future ancestors to inherit the American support for freedom of religion and separation of church and state. Thank you. An American Jew who spent last September as a Volunteer for Israel and was at the Gaza with Golani troops. My religion has taught me that life is precious and not expendable by a ruthless dictator. I pray at Temple Beth Shalom in Sun City, AZ on Sabbath services that there be peace and that anti-Semitism and all other forms of religious bigotry be banished from this earth.

Logical, genuine, did his homework. From his site: “Someday soon we will wake up to the reality that they (Iran) have done a North Korea on us. They have acquired a nuclear weapon, they can hold the world hostage with that weapon, and there’s very few or little we can do about it.” Clearly against the terrorism we will unfortunately see more of, and before it gets to our borders (borders?)...maybe nation is a better word. I could vote for a guy like this.

Mr. Rubio, you had my vote without a doubt, but after watching this speech I am sincerely shocked at your refusal to recognize the bigger picture. You ask us to imagine what we would do, so I ask you to imagine that we put a blockade on Mexico, starve their people and don't allow them to fish their shores. When they lob bottle rockets at us, which we intercept, we send our jets and warships to bomb their schools, churches and neighborhoods. They have no state military and 80% of the people we kill are civilians. They've offered a ceasefire that only asks us to remove the blockade but we reject it outright and continue to kill their children. Consider that before you ask us to imagine what we would do. Today, Israel bombed a UN school killing 15 and wounding 90, and you say they are 0% to blame. This is the second UN school they've hit, not including the countless religious centers and local schools. You claim that Hamas wants to kill the children of Israel when Israel is already killing the children of Gaza. Over 300 Gazan children have died by the hands of the IDF compared to 0 Israeli children killed by the hands of Hamas. Hamas may be a terrorist organization but it was only elected because of the desperation the Gazan people had against the blockade. This is the root cause of the issue and you don't mention it once in your speech. EDIT: In the end all we want is for both sides to live comfortably. My understanding is that we are only debating whether war will get us there faster and bring stability with less innocents killed overall (pro-Israel) or whether it will antagonize the conflict and keep the status quo (pro-Gaza), though the media outlets will have us think that we are supporting injustice by supporting the other side. It just seemed to me like the Senator wasn't considering that other side. Thanks for the responses and thanks to Jack of all trades - master of some for giving us some insight to what it's like being an Israeli under attack - it has helped balance, at least for me, the pictures coming out of Gaza. Closing comments now.

Also what can you do to get our soldier back from Mexico since the president didn't do anything and that is so sad for our country and his family. Shouldn't these words have been spoken by Obama or even Senate Leader Harry Reid? Where they? This is what leadership is all about. Standing for something. I applaud Sen. Rubio's passion and dedication. The Hammas terrorists must be stopped from using the people of Gaza in this horrendous, cynical campaign. The reason that there are more deaths in Gaza than Israel is that Israel protects its citizens. Hamas doesn't only not protect Gazans, it places them in harm's way. I stand with Israel!
