I used to stay in UP and I clearly remember that the rubber plant was a must have in the 90s. We had one and I last remember it at approx 6-7 feet.

I made the same mistake regarding the light requirement. At first, I placed my variegated rubber plant near an east-facing window. And it was growing fast. But probably I made an over-watering mistake and the leaves started turning brown. I thought those were sunburn and moved it to a shady spot. Finally, I figured out the correct watering schedule. The leaves are not turning brown anymore but the plant stopped growing altogether. Today, after watching your video I moved my plant to a spot where it would get a few hours of direct sunlight. Let's hope for the best.

Hey Anne...so happy u made a vlog on ficus elastica...I hv the variegated one.. recently I repoted it...coz I felt it went in to the dormant state... not seen any signs of growth...

I too had kept it in shade n didn’t show signs of much growth. So i planted it in my garden few yrs back n it’s a much thriving a tree now. N I stay in Hyderabad so u can imagine the amount of sunlight it gets 😃

I have two ficus tineke plants i got from the nursery. Right from the beginning they started showing brown edges on the bottom leaves. I initially thought it was fungus causing the problem and provided fungicide to the soil and leaves. Soon after it started growing new bright leaves and it looked fine. Now the new leaves are also showing brown edges. I live in Goa, my living room gets bright indirect light throughout the day hence I kept it inside a few feet from the window. I only water when the soil is dry. Still the leaves are falling off and edges of new leaves are also Browning. Please help me save my plant

I have a couple of Rubber plants .. it grew well when they were in the open and have since stopped growing after I moved them indoors to a bright indirect lit area .. I guess I shall move it outdoors again .. And yes, I would like to know about air layering for this plant, please :)

Hi I have tineki rubber plant and for last 2-3 days it's leaves are having rusty red stops from the corners, it started with 1-2 leaves and now they have spread to almost all thr leaves, m not sure what are they as m watering my rubber plant only when 2 inch of soil is dry.. Please help

Hi can you help me understand why my rubber plant leaves are getting cuts in them.

Mam my rubber plant is falling the leaf and also l cut the tip of the plant but l can't see any new leaf coming through the plant

I bought one and my family planted it in the ground. It lost 4 leaves and the new leaf were eaten by squirrels. Brought it inside, though it has not given any more leaf but has lost no more leaf. So i guess its a win. But how can i get new leaves?

Sunlight sunlight can't tell enough how beautifully this plant does if given good sunlight. My lesson is even if you love keeping it indoors make sure you give a couple of days sunlight.

Plants lobe a good pruning in the growing season. If too tall and leggy (or woody), pruning low will really thicken the foliage. Every pruning near a node becomes two shoots so we can double foliage. 🙏🏼👍🏼😊

I changed it’s soil completely in rainy seasons and not a single leaf dropped. But I tried repotting another one in Jan mid and half the leafs have already dropped. I guess it’s better to not touch in months other than monsoons.

Hi i bought rubber plant 3-4 days ago it was placed in corridors for last few days , today i placed in my balcony nd in evening leaves are drooped slightly

Ma'am, mere rubber plant me, divali ke samay nayi leaf aa rahi thi but galati se tip se hi tut gayi. Uske baad ek bhi leaf nhi lagi hai, na hi jarasa bhi grow hua hai. Me kya karu? Uske pahele tak acha chal rha tha. Placing sahi hai, some time in sunlight and then in bright light.
