After Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sb, the qawali's power and attraction never remained the same... This reminds me of Ustaad Nusrat Khan sb's era, when poets were outstanding and qwaal did not have had any match... This one is a Masterpiece in poetry, presentation, involvement of singer, composition and beautiful use of orchestra 10 out of 10 ... I am commenting on 14 January 2023, It's never going to get Old... Mark my words, hats off to the team ❤️

Abi Sampa's warm tones and her perfectly balanced humnawa create a soft vocal envelope to lead you on each emotional journey. Coupled with Rushil Ranjan's rich orchestrations and Amrit Dhuffer's intricate tabla play they have once again raised the bar of east-west fusion music and I can't help but love them all for it.

This is not Indian music the poet is from Pakistan. This is Sufi poetry which has its origin from the Muslim mystics. In fact, all her qawali renditions recited so far is from Pakistan, from Lal Shahbaz Qalander to Man Kunto Maula, poetry was written by Sufi poets from Pakistan and Iran

Phenomenal! I would have listened to this for over a dozen times in the last 3 days, without understanding the words. But, it is Divine!

With a voice dipped in ecstasy and melancholy she summons the transcendental Supreme Being. But that Unfathomable Reality is already there smiling in the niche of our hearts and yet bewildered, we search for Him all over. What a paradox!

Music has its own language, great fusion of poetry and music, most of these musicians may not know the language Sampa is singing in but what a treat to ears. Amazing.

This is simply divine ❤️ As a professionally trained pianist, and having trained in Hindustani classical and a tiny bit of Qawwali myself, it's eye opening to see what magic can be created by such a beautiful confluence of two very different styles of music. It's about the love of God and hard to translate. You could a better translation if you turn on the captions. I think the translation is something like this: "Face to face I searched for you everywhere, from door to door. I could not find you, until I found you in my heart. Come to my home (heart) Say the intoxicated one in love (with God) After meeting me don't go far You are like a heart beat in my heart And the all hearing Come you my home (heart) Says the one intoxicated with love Face to face The heart said Come to my home Said the one intoxicated in love You can not be seen in the sky but in front of me Set the wilderness on fire Lift your veil Come and light a fire (in the wilderness of my heart) Lift your veil. This is a very rough translation and you will be able to find a better translation if you turn on the captions
