You need to tweak something. I saw frequent FPS drops to 40s-50s FPS

Cap the game's FPS to your refresh rate(if it's lower than 187) because when you leave it not locked to any FPS you get the lag in the menu because it goes over the limit for the engine. Or if the game doesn't go beyond 60-75 FPS most of the time with the mods on then you can just cap the game to that and you get a better experience overall. You can cap it in nvidia control panel or even in Riva tuner which I use most of the time because you can even set a toggle button to activate or deactivate the cap put.

Bro you purchased the game from store or safe dowloaded from somewhere, if yes pls share the link (My one i 5 12H, RTX 4050)

Graphic mode is not optimised that's way. In ra raw gta 5 it gives 200+ fps
