I think XTX can get a little bit extra FPS if combined with an AMD CPU as it gets smart access memory.

Intel uses it as well. It's called different but does the same. Resizable BAR it's called and it is on by default. It helps both Nvidia and Nvidia cards and does the same as AMD SAM.

It doesn't do anything more than rebar on Nvidia AMD just renamed it just like they did with the Smart Access Video and Infinity Cache. It's just L3 cache which is a little slower then Nvidia's larger L2 cache in the 40 cards. I have both these GPUs in 2 systems now. Both with an AMD CPU and they are just as this video shows. Super close to the point id say the 4080 super is the better buy atm

@@HOTPLATEGAMING I feel like in terms of performance wise ray tracing is just not there yet for me to have to compromise my high frames to be cut in half when using RT. Don’t get me wrong it’s a cool feature it sure it makes things look nice but it’s not like without things are going to look bad because that’s not the case at all. Games look amazing without RT. Maybe when the next gen of gpus come out like the 5000 series or something and even then who really knows lolz

Buy a 7900xtx for Modern Warfare 3, otherwise its just best to get the 4080S for the feature set if you don't mind being 5-10fps behind. As long as you can get one at MSRP.

These are native settings though. Turn dlss and fram gen on and the 4080s blows xtx out of the water.

that's the benchmark I wanted to see. If you buy a 4080 you desperately need RT. Otherwise, you're not wise.

Not really. 4080 is more power efficient and draws less vram. Also dlss and fram gen will blow XTX out of the water.

Without ray tracing even at lower resolutions than 4k, 7900 xtx is overall the better card, delivering more fps generally, better 1% lows and is much more power efficient. However, as soon as you add rtx into the mix then the 4080 super usually doubles the performance compared to the 7900 xtx. In my region it's a no brainer since the xtx is priced at 1000 euro while the rtx 4080 super is priced 1400 euro, I will go with the 7900. However if they were simillarly priced (and knowing I never intend to go 4k gaming, which means I don't really need 24gb vram) then I would consider the rtx simply because these are both rtx capable cards and the 4080 super works better when using rtx.

these tests are done without the use of upscaler, you can clearly see in the settings that the 4080 uses dlss, the title is wrong and the 7900xtx is definitely more powerful in raster

Look at the Techtesters 40 game test. It's basically a wash at 4K and at 1440P the 4080S beats the XTX by double digits.

Should I get the 4080 if im not gonna rt? Main reason im asking is cause amd consumes a lot of power compared to Nvidia

I don't know much about video cards, but they say AMD drives are bad, can anyone tell me if it improved with this RX 7900 XTX card?

The 4080 super is too close in raster for it be a clear victory for the XtX the super can do more with extra features and its now not that much more expensive clear win for Nvidia. If you game for purely for FPS without the lastest features the XtX is the way to go.

Randomly average fps 51 for the 4080S and average 57 fps for the 7900xtx but 347 watts and 286 watts for the 4080S, so a difference of 61 watts. 61 watts more for the 7900xtx for 6 more images. Energy efficiency is poor for this GPU.

The RTX 4080 super is the best GPU. At random, I noted the fps: avg 76 fps for the 4080S and average 75 fps for the 7900Xtx. But there is a big one but it is the consumption. in this scene taken at random. We note 291 watts for the 4080S and 346 watts for 7900XTX for the same number of Fps. The 4080S consumes on average 55 watts or even 60 watts of more. The 4080S has better energy efficiency. And if we include raytracing and other options in this test. The rtx 4080S if you can have it at the same price as the 7900xtx is the best choice! I had the choice between an Nvidia rtx 4080S FE at 1100 euros and a slightly more expensive Asrock Taichi 7900xtx at 1180 euros. I chose the RTX 4080 super FE. Incredible energy efficiency: 4Watts for a Frame. Certainly : the 7900xtx has 24 GB of Vram. But except for the use of professional 3D creation software. The 24 GB of RAM will be useless for games in 8K. On the other hand for the next generation rtx 5000 to play in 4K ultra and 8K: you will need at least 20 GB of vram.

4080 super for VR + RT + DLSS + streaming + better game support + better frame gen + overall features and more stable drivers. 7900 xtx for 5-9% more FPS in some games + maybe 8k and adrenaline software 🔥

But at what cost to kill your frames ? I rather have more fps. Sure rt is cool and all but overall games without using the rt still look nice. Not saying it doesn’t look better with rt on but at the cost of the frames. 😊

These people doing comparisons are only doing rasterization because everyone knows DLSS is significantly better than FSR. And if you tested DLSS and FSR in a video, the frames might look similar, but in reality DLSS looks much better in person and it's hard to show that on a compressed KZread video. But testing Nvidia against AMD without their respective upscaling techniques is like having the Chiefs play the Giants but taking away Patrick Mahomes and Daniel Jones. It makes it a much more even contest.

The 4080 S consumes less power, though.

If they are only $50 apart difference, I think the best bang for buck atm is the 4080 super. Though most hate RT performance hit It's like a 40% uplift from the 7900xtx just loose about 0-5% in rasterize performance. I have both these GPUs in 2 systems now. Both with an AMD CPU and they are just as this video shows. Super close to the point I'd say the 4080 super is the better buy atm.

If you want to buy that for that price then go for it, I just gave my 2 cents on my experience with both and found the 4080 super to be more worth the already high price of the 2. AMD did need to cut the price of the 7900xtx to make it more compelling because the 4080 super is a better card to go with if both were the same price.

Nice benchmark. However it looks like this trinity 4080 S does not perform that well. TPU has an index of the performance of 4080S where the difference can be 3 to 4%. Like the Asus tuf Gaming that is like the best because it draws a little higher power. (Allowed) In most test also at TPU the rasterisation of the 4080 S and the 7900 XTX is equal. And the RT performance is a lot bigger with Nvidia. Also better drivers and DLSS and FG with Nvidia. If prices are close to eachother i would always go for the Nvidia card.

@@BENCHMARKSFORGAMERS Well TPU has a 25 game benchmark and the difference is none on the 4080 S on 1080,1440 and 4K in rast. And i had the AMD 7900XT wich is a unstable card. The CCD's are a nightmare as they are server intended. the IF is unstable a lot. Intel/Nvidia is stable AMD is praying to the Gods that it runs without freezing, blue screens...

buy XTX for future proof, you need at least 20GB for 4k in 2024... in 2030, 24GB would only give you 2k on max setting. Who play with RT? if you're gamer you would sacrifice quality to get performance... WHO PLAY @4K? man come on...

there is no need for 20 GB of vram in 4K. When games use more than 16 GB in 4K. The 7900Xtx will be completely obsolete. It will only be able to display 10 fps :p

Nvidia will be always superior. Even OBS like nvidia more.
