@@iraklimgeladze5223 drastically is bit of a stretch, nvidia filter sharpening will fix that almost instantly.

Spec wise the RTX 3050 is about 30% faster than the GTX 1650. The price difference between the RTX 3050 and the GTX 1650 is around $150-250 dollars. If they are both running above 30 fps it's hard to notice the frame rate difference. The RTX 3050 is definitely better though and is more future proof but both should be able to run about 90-95% of all current generation games. If you got the money to spare then future proof with RTX 3050. If you're going for best bang for buck then go with GTX 1650.

Bro, since when has it become harder to notice the fps difference "if both cards are running above 30 fps"? It is on the contrary, easier to notice the difference. The correllation is inverse here. If the first card would do 20 fps and the second one would do 27 fps, then your statement would be more applicable. But if we're talking for instance 35/50 fps, the picture would be different with less stutters and drops for a 50 fps card.

Where tf are you living that a 3050 laptop is 200$ more expensive than a 1650 laptop. Look for IdeaPad gaming and Asus tufs. (Watch out of 11300h/11320h quad cores... 5600h should cost the same and be better)

A very good comparison, but for those who get a 3050/3050ti laptop, you should probably adjust the fan curves for the system. The thing runs at a maximum of 80 watts when configured to maximum, even with 50-75% more frames, the gpu will run hotter compared to the 1650 mobile going between 35-50

@@FIREDAN075 well, if you mean in terms of “fan curves” I meant by the fans integrated with the system. Usually every laptop comes with a preinstalled app that allows you to configure the fans. The fan curve basically means, you can set it so the fans rev up faster the higher the temperatures. Best to do this for every laptops either way, especially when gaming. Even better if you can find a laptop that has more “wooshy” sounding fans rather than ones that whine. Also the whole watts thing, means the 3050ti has different configurations for different frequencies. Like 35 watts (the lowest) will have the frequencies at 730-ish to about 1000mhz, which is actually more efficient than the 1650.

@@Thewaterspirit57 hey i currently own a 4 year old gtx 1650 model and just bought a gtx 3050 one and have a very power external fan under my laptop that on my 1650 noticed significantly temp drops, you probably couldnt answer me since you dont have the setup yourself but how much you reckon of a frame boost would the 3050 with the fan have going at maximum power compared to the 1650 with the same setup

@@zactluker7843 Depends, is it actually just one big external fan? Supposedly that should still cool the 3050M well enough, since the thing has a max configuration of 80 watts compared to the 50 watt 1650M. In general 3050 laptops have two internal fans, while most 1650 laptops have one (which is weird) and some have two, but you’ll most likely get the same temps, or just slightly higher temps.

@Thewaterspirit57 yeah it's the IET GT500 most expensive model and it's worked wonders on my 1650 model, but yeah I'll probably have slightly higher Temps but I have no clue if it can push the rtx 3050 further in performance and performance longevity like it does my 1650

1650 is a really good GPU, but the advantage of RTX is that you have some features like DLSS

@@raphwild My gpu stays in heavy gaming at 61c° (GTX 1650) but when I play games like far cry 5 my CPU (AMD Ryzen 7-5800h) goes up from 90 to 101c° because it's very power consuming. The more power, the more the cpu will heat. Obviously is probably one of the downsides of gaming laptops. Edit: Capping fps helps reduce temperature.

I'm from Brazil and here Nitro 5 with RTX 3050 are not sold yet, so who want a laptop with RTX 3050 buys a Dell g15. (and it's so much more expensive comparing to a laptop with gtx 1650, about 40% more). So I bought my new laptop on march 2022 and my choice was Acer Nitro 5, Ryzen 7 4800H, GTX 1650, SSD 512GB nvme and I'm very satisfied with my choice. Everything works pretty good!

The Ryzen 7 5800H model would be better cause You get more Cores and More Programming Performance from it. The ram can be upgradable to 16GB in the Future, but the CPU Cannot be.

If you don't plan on gaming much then go for 1650 it's enough (I use 1650 aswell for almost 2years and my games run ok haven't faced any problems yet) but if you have enough money and have no trouble on spending a tad bit more then go for 3050.

@@Fire.321 i can only tell you about this particular model and not a lot at that since i 'm not much of a gamer. I've played a few games all on medium settings. Can't play big games on Ultra. I don't think i've tried playing on high, medium looks good enough. Again, i don't game much.

Hello everyone, 2 month ago I bought victus 15 , i5 12 gen gtx 1650 I am MMORPG fan gamer , and I play war of warcraft with OMEN app in ECO mode I got stable 50-60 fps cpu temp 45-60c which is pretty good 👍 😀 , on default mode high performance usage I got 144-85 fps but my cpu temperature was high between 66-85c and sometimes over 90c all on Ultra setting 1080p which I don't like so I prefer to play on 60fps to keep my laptop safe , I also run Final fantasy 14 , war thunder and war guild 2 MMORPG games and gave me the same fps almost, eventually I am very satisfied with my gtx 1650 for now but it would be better if I go with 3050 or higher gpu performance. 1650 is still going well

People say to get 2x8gb ram sticks for dual channel but for the price difference between 8gb and 16gb ram, just upgrading to an extra 16gb + the original 8gb ram. Dual channel isnt that worth it. Its only 20% faster at most.

Dlss gives the fps boost in heavy games by reducing little resolution (which is not even noticable).like in call of duty warzone if you are getting 50 fps with dlss off ,you may get 60 fps if your dlss is on. Moreover this option is only available in RTX card but not in GTX.

as zed explained, dlss reduces resolution to a very little extent where it isnt even noticeable and gives a good fps boost tho amd launched fsr which basically does the same thing just as good and it works with gtx 1650 so you need not worry abt dlss support or not since fsr has you covered

bro i have acer nitro 5 h i5 12th gn 16gb GPU 3050 RTX dual channel ram but its CINEBENCH R23 score is multi core - 11867 tps nd single core - 1528 pts nd Mp ratio - 7.77x i do not understand why this score is to low wnat can i do ???

i get around 30+ on almost high settings when i turn on fsr its a pretty solid gpu at this price range i got r5 5600h 16gb dual channel ram 3200mhz you can easily get more than 60 at low with fsr

I am gonna buy Asus Vivobook pro 15 144hz ryzen 5 5600h 16gb ram with rtx 3050 (50w) will I get 1650 like performance or better?

It's like almost 30% difference bro it's not small at all,. Little than 3060 to 3050 which it's like 50% more performance but if the price is close I think it's worth go.on 3050 if price is closer and budget is limited

Both Acer nitro 5 (the gtx and the rtx ones) only have red key backlighting.

Can someone please help me, I bought an acer nitro 5 but before that i watched a bunch of videos about the laptop and they were getting way more frames then im getting and with the same specs. Im assuming its because my cpu usage is at 100% and my gpu usage is barely reaching 30%. Im really need help here im so lost.

Are you sure it is gpu temperature or cpu temperature because 1650 does not heat that much

Brother, should i buy acer nitro 5 i5 11400h gtx 1650 in 2024? I mean the price of this laptop is 597$. Is it worthy? And can you tell me how many years this laptop can be used well? And another choice is msi bravo 15 r5 7535hs RX 6550m with 656$. I'm afraid that MSI will be unstable and the temperature will be hotter. I plan to use for about 5-6 years. This video didn't help at all. I want to know to same fps target (like 30 fps) what's the difference in graphics. Example: if it can run cyberpunk in medium (gtx 1650), will it be able to run it on high on rtx 3050? If so, what's the practical difference in the image?

And also depends on your purposes, as we know that Intel is more optimised for productivity segment and it got thunderbolt 4 port, so if you got budget on hand you can add more powerful external GPU. And one day If you wanna build a PC just use that external GPU, I think its like savings.
