my first real introduction to kingdom hearts as a kid actually WAS a commercial that had simple and clean in it, and it would have worked on me if i had a playstation because that song stuck in my head for years. and i say first REAL introduction because before that i had a friend who was super into it, and she told me all about riku and axel but neglected to mention that mickey mouse was there. so when i saw the commercial i was like damn i guess they made a disney crossover with that thing madison likes. weird choice but okay

they taught people the cotton eye joe dance when i was in school and i missed the day where we learned it so i came back the next day and we had to do it and i had to figure it out on the spot

the chicken nugget is just a new iteration of an existing format. the alien singing is scalable, its new and its interesting. i could see the alien standing side by side with another beast, the nugget is solitary

not to nerd alert moment but the toxoplasmosis stuff is...kind of right, kind of not. take it with a grain of salt i am not an epidemiologist or neurologist i just have parasite spinterest but because it does have a significant behavioral effect on rodents (making them more likely to approach cat urine as opposed to their natural fear response leading to increased likelihood of predation and allowing the parasite to move to its next host) there has been a lot of interest in potential behavior changes in humans since, yes, about a third of the host population is believed to be a host (though this concentration varies by area and the vast majority of people are completely asymptomatic) and in the late 90s-early 2000s there was a lot published claiming it could cause significant neurological changes in humans including schizophrenia but these claims are very...tenuous and in recent years have largely been contested although that perception does remain. HOWEVER there is still research being done that suggests it may cause risk inhibition in *some* people but even in rats the exact nature of its behavior effects and the specificity isnt 100% known (some parasite behavior changes can get extremely specific) and obviously there's a lot of hurdles to studying loosely defined behaviors like bravery in humans (a lot of the papers ive seen the past few years are derivative of other contested papers or have extremely localized samples) all this to say its a really interesting parasite and it definitely carries health risks for some people (pregnant, immunocompromised, elderly) but ultimately while it's possible it can alter human behavior to some degree we really don't know to what extent/effect. we don't fully understand healthy uninfected brains! did not mean to write a huge comment i just hear toxoplasmosis and push up my nerd glasses and need to talk about it lol.

THANK YOU what a wildly misunderstood parasite! I study cats and I can't BELIEVE how many people think toxoplasmosis like..."brainwashes" people into liking cats. like, the behavioral change it has on NON-HUMAN ANIMALS has to do with approaching cat urine, not snuggling them, much less the tenuous studies on HUMAN behavior. absolutely insufferable to have to explain this every other minute. good to see someone who knows what's up.
