Hi. That's my daughter from Kenya. Yes, she wears them in public. The hooks open wider and help her do quite a lot. She has another set which is changed at the wrist, which look like a Natural arm. She wears them when she doesn't go to school. She had them fixed at RTM Ortopedia Personalizatta in Budrio, Italy. They did a great job. She has had them since 2012,to date, with two or three changes, because of her growth. She had the accident at 11 and she's now 16.
