To be fair, who the hell thinks we are 'only' 5 hours away from a place when its already night.

Texans. If we measured our trips in mileage, we’d never go anywhere. Galveston is around 310 miles from my house. That sounds daunting. However, if I were to say “Galveston is a 5 hour drive from my house” it sounds considerably-less daunting.

"Did you guys go to Vegas??" unsatisfied Burnie says "NO!"

"The airplane place?" What the fuck? Everyone knows its called the Plane Station.

If one were to recreate this in Halo, swapping the voices for their RvB characters, they would be on a Pelican en route to the Vegas quadrant and Simmons would bail out of the Pelican, using his armour's thrusters (as seen in Halo 5) to guide him to a civilized planet before hitching a ride (probably another Pelican) first to their hotel to write the note, then back home to the Austin quadrant.

i can relate to gus in this so much. i just hate long ass drives at light, 1am in the morning.

Gus is my spirit animal.

I love how Burnie’s going on about how stubborn Gus is when he spends an hour trying to get someone who clearly doesn’t want to go to Vegas to go there. He’s such a wonderful piece of shit.

Totally on Gus’s side. I know I’d refuse to go on a five hour trip anywhere at one in the morning.

Lol it’s so funny to hear Gus’ perspective

Must be my third time, at least, seeing this and I still don't get how they try to blame gus for not wanting to go somewhere he's not in the mood for. Especially Vegas. It's the most "need to be in the mood for" place in the world.

Thanks for making all these, they're neat and I like to see the podcasts where they came from :)

RT Podcast 189 has yet to be beaten as my favorite RT Podcast.

I'm rewatching RvB and that vegas quadrant makes so much more sense now.

Yeah, the RTAA makes me think Gus is overreacting/being crazy. The full version though, 100% on Gus's side.

I live in Vegas and it only takes me 4 hrs to get to LA, and that’s including a stop somewhere to get Starbucks

ahhhhh, so it's not Vegas specifically, he just didn't want to suffer the 1am 5 hour night drive to Vegas with his contacts in, totally understandable. I'm sure if he explained, Burnie would've understood. I think Gus wears his glasses really well, though that might be my bias.

That is why he annoys a lot of people, myself included. Everything is one sided for him.

Gus is not a good drunk, but I totally understand where he was coming from. Being stuck anywhere you don't want to be is bad, but if you're stuck there for a whole day or more with no way out, you might as well be in prison.

He literally said it was the five hours of driving while in the middle of the night while also drunk. Burnie even mentioned that Gus loved Vegas when he went on a separate ocassion so it's not the gambling thing.
